CHAPTER 57:The Tales of Uchiha

Kabuto bowed politely,anxiety forgotten as he adjusted his new glasses.Face like stone,wariness hidden behind his harden expression.

"Its not in my intention to question your sudden outburst.However it must've have something to do in seeing an uchiha?"Orochimaru tilted his gaze to his silent former pupil.

Kabuto shallowly chuckled putting the clipboard at the table infront of him.

"I guess,I've overreacted.Its not as easy to not be surprised at seeing a known dead person being much alive"Kabutos mouth crinkled.Not wanting to see his hidden slip-ups.

After his flee,he had managed to gather himself with his dilemma before going back to the corp.As expected,Orochimaru had assignes a meeting with him after that until now.

Orochimaru waves his hand at that."Though I think you shouldnt have been that bothered at the sight of Itachi,I've expected better reaction from you Kabuto,knowing you've gotten used to such or so I know".

"Not just people,Orochimaru-san.Its Itachi Uchiha,the heir of the Uchiha clan.One of the most notorious and indomitable person alongside his brother"Kabuto paused.Eyes narrowing in suspicion.

"Why and how did you manage to get him was in my mind.Granted it was very much apparent at the funeral that Itachi's body wasnt present as everyone thought he along died at the explosion-"Orochimaru raised his hand.The amusement in his eyes evident and that stops Kabuto.

"Whats on your mind,Kabuto?"he slowly asked.Kabuto might've thought he heard a hiss in his voice.

As he remained silent,Orochimaru studied his expression.He hadnt voice out the reason he even called Kabuto here in the first place but here he was.Having a conclusion inside his mind.

"Why did you called my presence in the first place,Orochimaru?Does this have a relation to Itachi being here?"Kabuto said,his gaze traveling at Orochimaru as he stood up walking leisurely along the place.

"Took you long enough,I know you were smart and I concluded that you were stalling until you pointed out the whole point.As to why I calls you here,youre right.Countless of my professional assitance had been a failure to do as such studying and curing the one Itachi Uchiha"He smirked.

The man opens up the blinds letting the light illuminate at the cold insides and the tension between.

"Its been 3 years since we have Itachi here,Shin did have sacrificed for his foolishness but we have managed to secure Itachi's body before the explosion.Now to our whole ordeal.In this last years,Temu corps had been what should I describe it?uhmm..."He animatedly looked up,not bothering to see Kabuto's expression.

"Dissapointing..that,as I was saying.It took years to finally figure out that the test we've manage to fullfill was indeed unremarkable and its pointless,we've been finding out cure of some impossible scenarios,invention and human evaluation"

"It was hard copying the replica of the original Temu variables,the blueprint margine and copy is hardly of use as it was lost or unfortunately gone.Reviving the company was slow-paced.Nothing interesting that we got in those years,duplicating something wasnt as succesful as we thought and we werent that close of figuring out the perfect sample to continue the Temu's biggest project—"

"And that was?"Kabuto slowly asked,capturing Orochimaru's attention once again.A creepy sinister smile creeps on his face.

"Immortality,the Temu orps had been working on achieving the sample of immortality,I conducted research and found out that before the Temu had been bankrupt it was because they used all their budget to study and experiment on people to experience immortality,although it would take years to find the outcome.They were halfway through being succesful until the Temu orps had been blown away"
