Vi and Caitlyn were walking towards the Kiramann Estate for dinner with Caitlyns parents. Vi as usual was nervous. Caitlyns dad didn't seem to mind her, it was Caitlyns mom who scared her. The women often gave dirty looks at Vi when Caitlyn and her dad weren't looking, makes comments towards her, or just completely ignores her.
Vi never told Caitlyn about it though thinking she can win her mother's trust but that has yet to come. yet! This dinner will hopefully let her win the trust of Caitlyns mother. As they reached the big gates and Caitlyn pulled out the key to open them, Vi felt the dread in the pit of her stomach.
They were all gathered at the table. Caitlyn was right next to Vi while Caitlyns mother was right infront of Vi. Caitlyn mother glared at Vi while they ate. Vi shrunk slightly at the look then looks at all the forks very confused. She didn't know which one to grab and didn't want Caitlyns mother to hate her more so she nudged Caitlyn. "Cupcake? Why so many forks?"
Caitlyn was surprised for a second before realizing that Vi had no idea. "Oh um the smallest is for the fish, the middle one is for salad, and the first one is for other." Vi nods and grabs the middle one eating her salad fully. Caitlyns mother looked over her in surprise. After that they helped Vi remember the forks order and Caitlyns mother finally trusted Vi.
(Sorry if it wasn't the way you wanted it I was trying to think of a way to make it but I don't know a lot about cultury so I had no idea...)
