"It was just for one day, how bad can it be?" Famous last words. Caitlin's allergies caught up to her so she was taking the day off. Vi volunteered to go in her place willing to still go to work while her girlfriend rested.

What Vi didn't expect is that she had to wear Caitlyns uniform. Sighing Vi stepped outside and headed for the police force building avoiding sneers on the streets. Entering quickly head ducked she made her way to the office and hid there for most of the day. That was the plan, and with vi NOTHING went to plan.

Around 2 in the afternoon there was a fire so Vi called some guys to come with her and help put it out and help the people around and inside. Once she got there she started yelling out orders when she could hear a child's cry from inside the building. It was ready to collapse at any second however so wasting no time Vi ran in herself despite everyone's yells.

Covering her nose and mouth vi searched quickly for the little kid. Climbing the rickety stairs and bracing herself against the fire to the next story of the building. After about 20 minutes of searching She found a little shape huddled in the corner and with the buildings groaning she had to be fast. Right beside the kid was a window and so Vi quickly ran to the kid picked him up and jumped out the window curling around the kid so she hit first.

As soon as she landed the air was knocked out of her and she blacked out for a second. Coming to she could hear the kids soft cries and little hands trying to pay her awake. Sitting up and coughing softly she groans then cracks a smile. "I'm alright buddy, are you?" With his slight nod she smiles then sees the building coming down. She saw the enforcers pull everyone back and curled around the kid until the rumbling stopped.

Hearing footsteps Vi looked up to see the kids lol run up. "Thank you thank you! You saved him!" Handing the kid to his mom she stood up and looked down at the suit. "Phch caits going to kill me, no problem ma'am, couldn't let him get hurt."

After that she was able to go back to their shared apartment. Walking through the doors of their bedroom Caitlin looked over in worry. "Heard about the fire, are you okay?" Vi just nodded and went to change. Coming back out she flopped onto their bed and sighs stifling the coughing it brought up.

"Your job is hard cupcake! So many files and paperwork!"
