Vi realised way to late, rounding the corner, with the sharpshooters name on her tongue, to find Caitlyn hunched in to herself her breathing heavy as her eyes stayed locked on something on the wall. Vi immediately ran over, unlatching the gauntlets and grabbing Caitlyn's shoulders gently as she stepped between her and the wall. "Hey Cait.. your okay just breathe.. your okay.." She whispered softly, rubbing her hands on her arms softly, Caitlyn's eyes settled on her, though we're still hazy as she was caught in whatever sent her spiralling. Vi remembered something that Vander had showed her when Powder was having a panic attack, and she hoped it would help here was well
"Caitlyn can you tell me 5 things you see love?" the stutter was evident in caitlyns voice as she responded, though very quietly. "Bl-blue... You... a...building...Jinx...your gauntlets..." Vi smiled softly nodding, "Okay 4 things you can feel" "My uniform... your hands....the floor...m-my gun..." "Good, your okay.. take deep breaths Cupcake.. 3 things you can hear..." "machines... Jinx laugh... your voice..." Slowly Vi could see Caitlyn calming down, her breathing more steady and her eyes clearing. "2 things you can smell" "Musk... and oil...." "And one thing you can taste" "Sweat..."
She relaxed as Caitlyn did, hearing the sharpshooter take a deep breath and slump against the brawler. "You back with me cupcake?" She felt Caitlyn nod against her and smiled softly, continuing to rub her arms gently. "I-Im sorry about that Vi.. I- I just-" "Hey you dont need to explain okay? We all have those days.. You want to call it quits for the day?" Caitlyn stubbornly shook her head. "We can't until she's in handcuffs.. she cant be going around and killing more people." Caitlyn said pulling away to look at Vi's face, who just simply nodded. "Okay.. how about we take a moment then, recollect ourselves, then we will continue then okay?" Caitlyn just nodded faintly, going back to leaning against the brawler as she continued to take deep breaths, pointedly avoiding looking at the wall.
Once they were back in the safety of Caitlyn's room, curled up under the covers after they had showered. "thank you again Vi... seriously." V just smiled gently, taking one of caitlyns hands and rubbing the back of it softly. "You know I have your back always. Can't get rid of me that easily now can you?" Caitlyn laughed softly and scooted closer, pressing a gentle kiss to the brawler's forehead. "No.. I can never get rid of you Violet"
