Critical Condition (Caitvi) Part 2

"She's still in surgery, have a seat okay? We will let you know when she is out." The receptionist sad speaking calmly to try and help her calm down. Caitlyn only nodded and took a seat in the closets seat to the doors. Pulling out her phone, which in her way here had been blowing up with notifications, and saw that her parents where on their way and so was Jayce and his partner Vicktor.

Jayce and Vicktor got their faster, their lab being closer to the hospital than the Kiramman residence. They walked in still cladded in their lab clothes, tainted with soot and spots of something, and saw Caitlyn heading over. Jayce rested a hand on his sister figures shoulder as he sat down beside her. Vicktor limping behind and taking a seat on the other side of Caitlyn putting a hand on her knee.

"Any news yet..?" Jayce asked softly. Despite not liking the fact that Vi was from Zaun he couldn't help but worry for the woman who was slowly becoming his friend. "No-nothing yet, she's still in surgery.. god this wouldn't have happened if we didn't fight!" Caitlyn sighed burying her head in her hands.

"Hey neither of you could've predicted this would have happened. It's neither of your guys fault." Victor spoke up from the side moving to run her arm gently. "H-how did she even crash? Vi's a good driver isn't she?" Jayce said confused on how Vi could managed to do this. "She was driven off the road by a truck... at least that's what the police/ambulance told me.." Caitlyn said softly worried over her girlfriend.

Her parents chose that moment to come in. Seeing Caitlyn with Jayce and Vicktor they walked up softly greeting the three. Caitlyn got up and hugged her parents. "You guys didn't have to come, it's a long way from the house." Caitlyn said although she was grateful they were there. "Nonsense love, Vi is important to you and we are as worried as you are." Her dad said bringing his daughter into a tight hug. "What's the news?" Caitlyns mom said softly. "She's in surgery still. No other info as of." Jayce said getting up to great the parents.

Shortly after a nurse walked in. "Family for Violet?" Caitlyn and her parents immediately stood up assured that Jayce and Vicktor will stay there for now, And walking over "How is she?" Caitlyn said as she approached. The nurse motioned for them to follow as she started to explain.

"Concussions, cut along the forehead and back of her head, shattered arms,  most likely from trying to brace herself, fractured 3 ribs, and broken leg, along several cuts to her sides, arms, legs from shards of glass. Her back will be sore as well but nothing is broken. She is very lucky." They had reached her door and the nurse motioned for them to go ahead and go in. "She won't be up for awhile but she's stable and will recover fine, with future back pain."

With that the nurse left them alone, Caitlyn immediately sat next to her girlfriend sighing softly. Her parents settling down beside her to help her wait until Vi would wake up, just glad that she will be just fine.
