Arcane: Leage of Legends oneshots

Snow Day

It was past Miday when Vi finally woke up. She groaned softly at the soft light filtering through the white curtains Caitlyn insisted on getting and buried her head deeper into the pillow, and pulling the covers over her head. Her and Caitlyn were up until early morning the other night chasing down a lead in Zaun, though it ended up being a false lead. They had returned just as the sun started to rise so they had just changed and curled up under the covers falling asleep quickly.

Vi reached over and patted the empty space, searching for her partner to snuggle up to. Upon feeling the cold sheets she groaned softly and opened her eyes to squints searching for Caitlyn. Not seeing her in bed nor near the window, vi finally pushed herself up and glanced around the room. Seeing that Caitlyn was no where to be seen she pushed herself up and out of bed. Rubbing her face with a scarred, wrap-free hand as she wandered to the window and pulled open the curtains.

She had to take a second glance as she took in the little white flakes of snow covering the window, and falling gently from the sky as the powdery white flakes blanketed the ground with no sound. Vi excitedly gasp, knowing what the white stuff was and turning rushing to get dressed and out of the bedroom door, finally finding her girlfriend standing in the living room of their apartment sipping tea and watching the snow fell. "Cait! There you are! It's snowing!" Vi said in a scramble sliding to a stop beside her girlfriend to bring her into a gentle hug.

Caitlyn chuckles and hugs the red haired brawler back with one arm, holding the tea carefully with the other hand. "Good morning Vi, sorry for leaving but I woke early and decided to relax. You seen the snow before hun, why are you so excited?" Vi pulls away and kisses her check softly before going into the kitchen to make herself a coffee, explaining herself as she went. "Whattt I like the snow! We never seen anything like this down in Zaun so it's still amazing everytime!"

Caitlyn frowned slightly at the mention of her partners home city. But seeing the childish joy in Vi's face made her break into a soft smile, unable to help how expressive her partner was. As Vi joined her by the window, now holding a steaming cup of coffee and sipping it slowly. Caitlyn kissed her cheek softly before heading to the second room they converted into an office to get some work done.

A few hours later found both Vi and Caitlyn outside, dressed in winter coats and pants, with gloves and snow boots. Vi had started doing a few snow angels giggling like a kid, before a snowball had whacked her in the face. Pushing herself up with a confused expression she saw Caitlyn bent over giggling uncontrollably. Vi smirked and stood up, rolling her own snowball and throwing it at Caitlyn.

Caitlyn yelped and started stammering looking over and Vi before chuckling and throwing her own and starting a snowball fight. Both of them trying to dodge the balls of snow while making their own and laughing hard. Finally Caitlyn called a game over, seeing as both of them were now soaked and shivering slightly as night was fast approaching.

Wrapping each other in a hug they walked back into their apartment and made hot cocoa while changing into comfy clothes and snuggling on the couch. With a movie playing, and the snow counting to fall outside, Piltovers Finest slowly fell asleep, to the warmth of each other.
