Its okay Vi (Caitlyn/Vi)

 @averybavery123 here is your oneshot. i am so sorry it took forever to get out but the creative juices were not wanting to work for me...

Vi shook her head once more time to clear the fog in her mind as she finished putting up the last little bits of decorations. Today was her wife's birthday, and Vi wanted to give her the best birthday she possibly could, though she was feeling very off with a stuffy nose and pounding headache. Stepping down from the ladder she took a moment to steady herself before putting away the ladder and grabbing the tray of breakfast on the counter, heading towards the bedroom with a smirk. Opening the door quietly she stifled another sneeze as she snuck over to Caitlyn's side, gently putting the tray down before leaning down and kissing her cheek. "Get up Caitlyn, Cmon time to get up!" "Mmmm... Vi? Wh-what's going on?" Vi smiled and watched as Caitlyn pushed herself up before handing her the tray- or tried to before sneezing quickly, stumbling and dropping the tray all over the carpet. She immiedlty bent down to pick everything up cursing softly. Movement beside her told her that Caitlyn started to move to help. "No stay in bed Cait I got it!" She said sniffling softly to clear her nose.

"Vi, maybe you should take a break honey, You don't sound good at all." Vi felt a gentle hand on her back and had her up on her feet. "Nope! It's your birthday! I want to make it the best I can! Go to the living room and sit down, I'll make another breakfast..." Before Caitlyn could suggest otherwise, Vi was already leading her to the couch and sitting her down. Despite the warmth radiating from the brawler, and the sniffles were hard to miss, she sat down knowing the brawler was very hardheaded. She kept a very close eye on the brawler tho, hearing her sniffle, cough, and sneeze more and more. "Vi you don't sound good, why don't you lay down?" Vi shook her head bringing the plate of new food to the living room and putting it down in front of Caitlyn. "Eat up! We still have a lot to do!" "Vi-" a sharp sneeze interrupted her, vi groaning softly and starting to sway faintly. Caitlyn put the plate down and grabbed her arms gently. "Easy... Easy Vi, sit down please." She gently pushed Vi down onto the couch, watching her slink into the couch. "Fi-Fine only for abit though until you finish your food." Caitlyn nodded, knowing that was the best she was going to get, sitting down next to her and started eating again, keeping a close eye on the shaking brawler.

The crack of a bullet leaving the chamber had Vi shooting back awake with a soft mumble the shakes getting much worse than they were before shaking her head and watching her girlfriend shooting again, already feeling her eyes dropping again her stomach turning the more she watched. She didn't notice the gunshots stopped. "Vi, honey your not looking good at all..." "'m fine cupcake..." She faintly watched as Caitlyn crouched down in front of her, her face scrunched in worry. she whimpered softly when a cool hand pressed against her head, feeling good against her heated face, and she leaned against it with a soft sigh. "Vi you're burning up honey.... let's get you home.." "Noooo... It's your birthday Don't wanna ruin it.." Vi felt both hands cup her face and lift her face up, her hazy eyes meeting caitlyns sharp blue ones. "Your not ruining my birthday babe. Even if its taking care of you, I wouldn't spend it any other way." She sealed that promise with a soft kiss to Vi's forehead, eyebrows furrowing at the warmth radining off her girlfriend. "Jeez Vi your really burning up.." "Whatzzit...." With that Vi's body went limp, putting the full weight on caitlyn who grunted softly. "Vi? VI!.....Shit...." Standing up, she wrapped her arms around her girlfriends waist to gently lean her against the wall. Unsure how to get her back to the apartment, Caitlyn gently shook her girlfriends shoulder. "Vi? Baby you gotta open your eyes and help me... Your too heavy to carry by myself.." Soft mumbles were the only response her question got and Caitlyn sighed. Shaking her head she crouched in front of Vi, back towards her and gently guided her body to lay flush against her back, wrapping Vi's arms around her neck and standing up fully. The Brawlers shorter frame just left the tips of her toes dragging against the floor as Caitlyn grabbed her gun and slowly headed back to the apartment. 

Vi groaned softly, as she took another spoonful of medicine from Caitlyn, before the soothing feeling of soup. "Slowly babe.. dont need you to choke.." Vi sniffled faintly, her arms pinned to her side in the blanket cocoon Caitlyn wrapped her up in, the ice pack on her forehead helping with the heat in her body. "Sorry about ruining your birthday Cait... you have to waste it taking care of me.." Caitlyn chuckled softly and kissed Vi's nose softly. "You didn't ruin it, and it is not wasted. I love being able to spend my birthday with the one I love, even if it's making sure she rests." Vi faintly smiled, feeling her eyelids get heavy. there was the soft clink of the bowl hitting the bedside table, then the bed dipped faintly as Caitlyn laid down next to her. "Get some sleep baby, thank you for the best Birthday ever." Vi bearly mumbled a your welcome before sleep took her, nestled safely in her girlfriends arms
