Jan 10th - Prompt: I'm still alive
--------------------
"I - I'm not telling y - you anything." Edmund choked out, eyes squeezed shut.
The women smiled, cold and cruel as she gripped her knife. "You are strong I'll give you that." She murmered. "But there's only so much pain someone can take."
Edmund swallowed thickly, cringing at the taste of blood. "I'll be dead before I tell you." He spat, voice weak.
The women laughed. "We'll see about that." She said quietly, circling the fifteen year old. "Give it an hour and I'll have you screaming, begging for me to stop."
Edmund shuddered. "I will never scream." He muttered. "And I will never beg."
The women chuckled, bending down and pressing her knife to Edmunds throat, causing his breath to catch. "We'll see about that."

"Have you had enough?" The women whispered, tracing the tip of her knife across Edmunds arm, smirking.
Edmund swallowed thickly, blinking fast to try and get his vision into focus. He was trembling, shaking from the pain and the blood loss, tear stains down his cheeks, but he hadn't let one scream past his lips, no matter what had happened to him. "Oh, no." He breathed, voice so weak it caused even him to worry. "I'm enjoying it."
The women looked displeased by his sarcasm, and rolled her eyes. "Tell me how many troops are in the Narnian army." She whispered. "That's all I need to know, and then I'll set you free."
Edmund chuckled, although there was no really amusement behind it, there couldn't be with the amount of pain he was in. "What, so you can - can plan a perfect attack of Cair Paravel and easily out - outnumber us?" He choked. "Not likely."
The women stared at him, digging her dagger into his arm and effortlessly breaking through the skin, making Edmund flinch, groaning slightly. "I will not leave you alone until you tell me." She almost whispered.
"Just kill me now." Edmund spat. "I'm not telling you so I don't see the point of carrying this on."
The women smiled, and Edmund shuddered. That smile reminded him way too much of Jadis, and he hated it.
She stared at him for a long while, before placing her knife on the ground beside her and taking hold of Edmunds arm. "Last chance." She whispered. "How many?"
Edmund swallowed hard, heart pounding.
"Tell me or you're going to find out just how strong I am." The women threatened, tightening her grip on his arm.
Edmund squeezed his eyes shut, bracing himself.
He said he wouldn't scream.
"I - I'm not telling you." He choked out, shaking his head firmly as he himself shook from fear.
The women glared at him. "Very well." She spat quietly.
Edmund heard the crack before the pain caught up with him, and his eyes went insanely wide.
Distantly he could hear a scream, and it took him a while to realise that it was he who that scream belonged to, and with a sob he collapsed against the wall.
