Peter couldn't help the huge smile that spread across his face as he was handed his nephew, who was currently fast asleep, looking beyond peacful.

Tears were in his eyes which he couldn't blink away, as he opened his mouth. "He's perfect." He whispered.

Edmund smiled tiredly. "He is isn't he." He murmured, sitting beside Peter and not taking his eyes off his newborn son.

Peter slowly glanced at him. "You okay?" He asked.

Edmund nodded. "Just tired." He breathed. "Tired and so, so relieved."

Peter nodded slowly, smiling at him before turning back to the baby. "Have you decided on a name for him yet?" He asked quietly.

"Not yet, we've narrowed it down though." Edmund told him, before tearing his eyes from his son and glancing at his brother. "We've decided on a middle name."

Peter smiled, still staring at his nephew. "What is it?" He asked, his voice soft.

"Peter."

Peter's head snapped up, his mouth slightly open and a look of shock on his face. "Peter?" He murmured.

Edmund chuckled gently and nodded. "Yeah." He replied. "His middle name is Peter."

Peter swallowed hard. "Why?" He all but choked.

Edmund had to hold back a laugh at Peter's question, and slowly shook his head. "Because you're my big brother, and my best friend." He said with a small shrug. "You've done a lot for me during my life, I have to thank you somehow. His middle name is Peter, after you, and I think it's a perfect name."

Peter stared at him for a long while, before smiling through tears and glancing back down at the baby. "I don't know what to say." He breathed.

Edmund chuckled gently. "29 years old and still just as emotional and sappy as 16 year old you." He teased.

Peter rolled his eyes and nudged Edmund with his shoulder gently, but he was smiling. "Here." He breathed, carefully handing Edmund back his son, placing a hand on the babies head extremely gently to support it.

Edmund stared down at his child for ages, before taking a deep breath. "I can't believe I'm actually a Dad." He mumbled.

Peter smiled. "It'll feel like that for a while." He told him. "But you're gonna be the best Dad ever Ed, I mean that."

"Says the actual best Dad." Edmund replied.

Peter smiled. "I reckon we're both pretty good at parenthood." He said.

"How would I know, this is my first day being a father." Edmund breathed.

"I just know you'll be okay Edmund." Peter told him. "Try not to worry too much."

Edmund nodded. "I won't." He murmured.

"Now I reckon there are some other people who wanna say hi, yeah?" Peter suggested.

Edmund nodded. "Yeah, yeah." He breathed, staring down at his son.

Peter placed a hand on his brother's shoulder, Edmund looking slowly up at him with a small frown.

Peter smiled, placing a hand on the back of his brother's head and pulling it down to place a kiss to the top.

Edmund didn't fight to get away, he just stayed still, staring down at the baby in his arms.

"You're gonna be a great Dad Edmund." Peter murmured. "I promise."
