June 20th - Prompt: Underneath the lonely London sky

---------

Edmund frowned a litre, stopping dead in the middle of the park. He'd only gone for an evening stroll, and did not expect his brother to be laying in the middle of the park staring up at the sky.

Slowly he walked over, stopping at his brother's feet. "What on earth are you doing?" He asked.

Peter glanced at him, rolling his eyes a litre. "Relaxing." He replied with a shrug.

Edmund stared at him. "By laying in the middle of the park?" He said, eyebrow raised.

Peter stared at him for a moment. "There's no one around." He told him. "Lay with me."

Edmund sighed, but lay in the grass beside his brother, staring up at the pink and orange sky. "You been thinking of anything?" He murmured.

Peter was quiet, but he sighed eventually. "Just Narnia." He breathed, voice almost a whisper. "The sky was prettier there."

Edmund chuckled weakly. "It was." He breathed. "But the London sky ain't bad."

Peter smiled. "I guess not." He murmured.

Edmund turned his head to look at his older brother. "Are you truly okay?" He asked. "I can't imagine never going back."

Peter turned his head too, nodding slowly. "I'll be okay." He breathed. "Don't you start worrying."

Edmund shook his head in amusement. "If it was the other way around you'd be doing exactly the same thing." He told him.

Peter knew he was right, but didn't say anything else on the subject, in fact he was silent for at least fifteen minutes before he took a deep breath. "We should head back home." He breathed, sitting up. "It's nearly dark."

Edmund nodded in agreement, sitting up too. "Probably a good idea."

Peter stood and stretched, helping Edmund to his feet after him.

"Also Pete?" Edmund murmured as they headed back.

"Yeah?"

Edmund went a little red, but shrugged. "If you ever need to talk about - about never going back," He said slowly. "You know where to find me."

Peter smiled, placing a hand on Edmund's shoulder. "You're a good brother Ed." He breathed. "Truly."
