April 14th - Prompt: Will you be there?
----------
"Ed you've got to stop stressing." Peter sighed.
Edmund glared at him. "I have a huge exam tomorrow!" He exclaimed. "How can I not stress! I have to pass this Peter, you know that."
"It's not the end of the world if you don't pass." Peter reminded him. "But you will Ed, you've studied so hard for this, I know you'll pass."
Edmund sighed. "Will you be there?" He asked. "When I come out the exam hall."
Peter smiled and nodded. "I'll be there." He said gently. "And then I'll take you into town and the Ice-cream's on me to celebrate your pass."
"I won't know if I've passed straight away." Edmund reminded him.
Peter shrugged. "We can still have ice cream." He said. "And if you end up failing you can just give me the money back."
Edmund gave him a small smile, knowing Peter was only teasing. "You honestly think I'll pass?" He murmured after a while.
"Ed, when was the last time you failed an exam?" Peter said with a soft chuckle.
Edmund shrugged.
"Exactly." Peter breathed. "You're smarter than you think you are, and I mean that."
Edmund smiled again, nodding slowly. "Thanks." He murmured.
"You'll be fine." Peter said, clapping him on the shoulder. "Trust me."
So the next day, Edmund managed to walk into the exam hall with hope in his heart... perhaps he would pass, just like Peter had said.

Edmund couldn't help but sigh in relief when he stepped out into the corridor, stretching glady after being sat hunched over a paper for the last hour and a half.
He looked up and down before spotting Peter sat on a nearby chair, and at seeing his younger brother he quickly stood and walked over. "How'd it go?" He asked hopefully.
Edmund shrugged. "Pretty well." He said slowly. "But there were definitely a few questions I struggled on, and some I don't think I got right."
"A few questions won't matter." Peter told him. "No ones expecting you to get 100% Ed, I remember I only got like 70% when I took that exam, I still passed."
Edmund stared at him for a while before sighing and nodding. "Come on." He breathed. "I need that ice cream you promised."
Peter chuckled, taking Edmunds bag from him and leading the way down the corridor.

"Sooooooooo.....?" Peter asked with a grin as Edmund stepped back out the classroom, a piece of paper clutched in his hand.
Edmund swallowed hard. "85%" He whispered, seeming to be shocked.
Peter clapped once very loudly, before pulling Edmund close with one arm. "You little genius." He laughed.
Edmund let out a relieved chuckle, a grin growing on his face. "Oh my gosh." He breathed.
"I told you you'd pass." Peter said gently, eventually letting him go. "And that score is outstanding!"
Edmund rolled his eyes. "It's still not 100." He muttered.
Peter frowned in an unamused way. "No, but it was 85 Edmund, that's a pass by far!" He said. "You did better than me anyway, even better than Susan."
Edmund laughed a little. "I guess." He breathed, before folding up the paper and slipping it into his pocket. "Although I'm so glad it's over."
"I know how you feel." Peter laughed.
Edmund nodded, before grinning up at his brother. "And I don't owe you for the ice cream." He teased.
Peter smiled. "It would appear you don't."
