Jan 7th - Prompt: The letter
----------------------
"I should probably write to Edmund and Lucy." Susan murmered.
Her Mum glanced up at her and smiled. "That would be nice." She breathed. "Although would you mind letting them know they could be staying there for at least another few months." She added regretfully.
Susan nodded. "Edmund is not going to like that." She muttered.
"It's such a shame we couldn't bring him with us." Helen mumbled, looking a little upset. "He'd of loved it over here."
"He really would've." Susan agreed, before heading over to her desk and grabbing paper and a pen.
It took her a while to write the letter, and she couldn't help but feel down when she mentioned Narnia, glancing at a picture of her and her siblings in front of her, but she managed to keep it together.
Once it was written, she decided she might as well go and post it now, after all she had nothing else to do.
She grabbed her coat, a thin one because it was August, and slipped her feet into her shoes, before heading out the door, the envelope gripped tightly in her hands.
It wasn't too far to walk to the nearest post office, and she quickly posted the letter so it arrived in England as soon as possible.
She decided to take a slow walk home, taking in the scenery and thinking of nothing but her siblings.
She missed them a lot, and finding out she couldn't see them again for a few months mad her extremely upset.
But she could deal with it, put on a brave face until she saw them again.
She hoped Peter was doing well with studying, and she also hoped Edmund hadn't killed Eustace yet.
She laughed at the thought, before sitting down on a nearby bench, glancing around with a small smile on her face.
"I miss you guys." She murmered. "But I'll see you again soon, and I can't wait."
