July 16th - Prompt: School
--------------
"Where you going Pevensie?"
Edmund stopped walking, taking a deep breath before sighing. There was really no point in running, he knew there wasn't, they'd catch him anyway, so he slowly turned around, making sure to glare at James as he did.
"Ooooh someone's not happy." James laughed. "I asked you a question."
Edmund crossed his arms. "Well it is lunch time." He said. "So why don't you figure that one out for yourself."
After coming back to school after Narnia Edmund had just known James would be there to greet him, and to make his life a living hell once again.
Not to mention, the group he had hung around with before Narnia didn't like that he was now a "goody-toe-shoes" and were now just as bad as James and his gang.
So now Edmund had two groups of boys that would absolutely love to beat him up, which was certainly not a good thing.
James raised an eyebrow at Edmund's answer. "He's sarcastic now eh?" He said. "Gosh you really have changed over the summer."
Edmund took a deep breath and rolled his eyes. "Nice of you to notice." He muttered. "Now if you don't mind, I'm hungry."
He went to turn around and walk away, but really wasn't surprised when two boys ran around to block his path, causing him to sigh.
"This is getting old James." Edmund muttered, turning back around to face the boy.
"Is it?" James wondered aloud, walking over until he was only a few steps away from Edmund. "It's not for me."
Edmund nearly rolled his eyes again. "Bullying someone a year younger than you is low James." He said. "It has been ever since you targeted me on my first day."
James laughed. "I like to think it toughened you up." He said. "Did you or did you not turn into one of us?"
Edmund took a deep breath. "That was the worst mistake I've ever made." He said firmly. "I won't be going back there again, trust me."
"I've heard that Jack isn't all that happy about your little turn around." James continued.
Edmund cringed at the thought of his old friend, Jack certainly didn't like him anymore and was now almost as bad as James. "It would seem not many people are." He muttered through gritted teeth. "Now please let me go to lunch."
James chuckled. "You should know how this works by now." He said, rolling up his shirt sleeves.
"Unfortunately I'm not in the mood to be beaten up today." Edmund replied.
James raised an eyebrow. "Well that's definitely not how this works." He said.
Edmund gasped and ducked as James' fist came at his face, only just missing it.
Although James took this opportunity to knee Edmund in the stomach, making him groan a little.
He was suddenly shoved to the ground on his back, but in this position he was able to kick James' legs out from under him, sending him to the floor.
