191: Calm down

July 10th - Promp: Gone for a walk

"Is Peter feeling any better do you know?" Edmund asked sadly.

Susan glanced at him and sighed. "Well, he's just gone for a walk to calm himself down." She murmured.

Edmund sat down beside his older sister. "Sometimes I wonder if everyone puts too much pressure on him." He breathed.

Susan nodded. "He does have a lot of responsibility at the age he is." She agreed. "But if he couldn't deal with it, I'm sure he'd say something."

Edmund snorted. "Would he?" He muttered.

Susan bit her lip. "I have a feeling he can cope..." She said slowly. "It's just sometimes he needs to take a step back, have a day off, and seeming as he hasn't done that in a long while, it's no surprise he snapped."

"As long as you believe he'll be okay..." Edmund sighed.

Susan nodded. "Let him stay out for as long as he needs to." She told him. "He'll come back when he feels he's calmed down enough, and tomorrow he's not to do anything to do with being a King, he's having the day off."

"Shall I go out for a ride with him?" Edmund suggested.

Susan smiled. "That's a good idea, and something I'm sure he would enjoy." She said. "And in the evening we're all gonna have tea down the beach if you're up for it?"

Edmund nodded. "Course." He smiled gently.

Susan took a deep breath. "Now, perhaps I'll go bake some chocolate and cinnamon cookies." She said with a knowing smirk.

Edmund laughed. "Peter will be very happy I'm sure." He said.

Susan smiled, standing. "Promise you won't go after him?" She said with a raised eyebrow.

Edmund rolled his eyes. "I know better to go after Peter when he's in a mood like this." He joked.

Susan chuckled gently. "Yeah, best to let him cool off." She murmured. "I'll see you later then."

Edmund smiled and nodded. "I'll see you later."
