January 2017

Since the meeting in his office with Kendall, his mind had been full of thoughts surrounding Harry – wait Chris – didn't matter the name, and his connection to Sarina in being her brother. So his girlfriend's brother had tried to kill him twice? What the heck is that supposed to mean?

Letting out a sigh, he knew the pair didn't have the most perfect childhood in going through both their parent's deaths as a result of her father's police work. However, how did that translate into him trying to kill them?

With this guy being her brother, you'd think she would've recognized the photo, too, so they would've been somewhere further along with information. Instead, though, she said she didn't know what he looked like. Instead, she kept it hidden now for almost a year. She also made him defend her to his parents, when it appeared as though as she was as guilty as ever. Letting out a sigh, perhaps he should've went with his mom's gut and pressed her further about the photo.

Returning to the house later on that night, Chase found himself becoming frustrated with the lack of information surrounding everything, especially when it was there right in front of them the whole time.

"We need to talk," Chase stated point clear as Sarina walked into the living room once getting home from Kyle Busch Motorsports. He didn't mean to state it so firmly, but the frustration had brought that out. Screw the usual greetings they would've shared about their day as there was a discussion to be had.

"About?" Sarina questions as she crosses her arms. She was taken aback by the attitude as she hadn't heard something like that, directed towards her anyway, from him ever. What was going on? "Does this deal with your meeting with Kendall today?" Chase shakes his head yes.

"She had some interesting information about Harry Butler that we should know." Sarina shakes her head, understanding. She didn't understand why that warranted frustration towards her, though. Obviously they both had mutual feelings about the situation they were in.

"What's the information?" Chase shakes his head in disbelief as he thinks about how to approach this. Should he be obvious and just come out and say it, or should he give her some chance at redemption?

"Actually, this is information that you should've known all along – and perhaps did – yet failed to speak about." She then looks even more confused at Chase. Why couldn't he just come out and say it already?

"Chase, what the hell are you trying to say?" Chase then hands her five different photos that Kendall had given him earlier for usage in this discussion. Kendall was at the house, in the other room, set to enter after the pair's confrontation together. while she had wanted to approach her with Chase, Chase asked for this beginning conversation to be the pair of them alone. He wanted to get a read for why Sarina would lie about something so huge.

"Harry Butler changed his identity when he was a teenager, just like somebody else that I know. Ms. Chelsy Dryer, I believe this would be your older brother Chris Dryer." She then looks through the photos, recognizing a couple of them immediately as her jaw drops. "Have anything to say for yourself?"

"I didn't recogni-"

"His eyes, nose shape, and a couple other features haven't changed from approximately the last time you would've seen each other with your mother Amanda till now so that's a fat lie." She then looks up from the photos, surprised. He had never accused her of lying so deliberately. "When we were in the hospital last year, we were both pressed about whether we recognized the photo – you said you didn't. When the original threat came, we were both asked to bring up anything that could be connected – you never brought up your brother. Heck, we're supposed to be real close and you've never talked about him. Want to start talking?" Sarina lets out a sigh as she sits down on the couch.
