* Third Person's P.O.V. *
* Jacob's Penthouse *
"Hm hm hm, hmm, hm hm hm, hmm, hmm, hm, hm"
"Man I'm really excited. I can't wait to see her!" Jacob hummed as he arranged the table for two with roses adorned in a vase and some nice candles with porcelain plates, a bottle of wine popped open to pour into elegant transparent glasses.
*DING* the elevator door opens.
"Hey, Love! I have your fav~" John entered the penthouse alone with a bouquet of roses he had sent earlier.
"Oh it's just you." he didn't even make an effort to hide his disappointment.
"Is she still following behind you?" Jacob inquired.
"Maybe she's just feeling shy. After all, she did say so many awful things and might feel a little embarrassed about it but what couple doesn't fight?
Right?
Also, maybe I was hasty too.
I should try and make it up with dinner and some nice and sensual makeup sex tonight. That might improve her mood." He waited for a few minutes while John tried to slip a few words but hesitated.
"What is it, John? If you don't have anything to say then get lost." He asked and added, "What is that bouquet for?"
John waited another moment before he reluctantly spoke, "Master, Miss Vivy informed me to tell you that she won't be coming over for dinner tonight." he paused again before continuing, "and she returned the bouquet you sent earlier."
*AWKWARD SILENCE*
"Did you try to convince her?" Jacob asked but he knew John wouldn't have left just like that.
"Yes, Master." John bowed down as he answered.
*SIGH*
Jacob could feel the blood boiling in him but he calmed himself. He could hear the trembling breath of John filling the silence.
"Hah! It's alright."
A surprised expression masked John's face as Jacob walked back to the table to pour himself some wine.
"Throw away that bouquet. What did you even bring it back for when she doesn't want it."
"Did you at least drop her off at home safely?" He asked as he sipped on his wine.
*PAUSE*
"John? I asked you something."
Jacob swirled his wine just like his emotions whirled in his heart and a sense of uneasiness slowly sank in when John finally decided to speak.
"Master, I apologize but she already got into the car with sir Tyler who had come to pick her up." John trembled with fear as he answered.
*CRACK* *CRASH*
The glass of wine cracked as he banged it hard on the table. The wine spilled like blood, staining the tablecloth near the point of impact.
*BREATHES IN DEEPLY AND EXHALES*
"Calm down. She was just picked up by Tyler and went home. Not like on a date. Nothing more that a simple chauffeur. And well she is pretty stubborn and somewhere I knew she wouldn't come around that easily. Plus once I get married to her, there won't be any interference from him or those annoying bratty twins. He always got in the way from the very beginning! No, Calm down! You are different from your father and will always be. Right now I just need to focus on Vivylyn." Jacob tried to reason with his boiling rage and tormenting heart.
