Chapter 19.1

*YAWN*

This feels like Deja Vu.

"You don't have to come to drop me off, you know," Gray asked as he ruffled my hair and pushed me back into the couch at the Grant residence.

Gray asked me to pack a few essentials last night before we went to sleep at Tyler's. Gray slept on the couch while I took Sherry's room. We did share the room at first but I kept kicking Gray off the bed. Xd

So he just decide to take the couch.

"No, I wanna come and drop yaaou off."

*YAWN*

"Pfft! Look at you all sleepy. If you yawn that hard your jaw will drop off. It's literally 3:00 A.M. in the morning. You still have time until office at 9:00 A.M. so go back to sleep. Freddie offered to drop me off." Gray chuckled before his phone buzzed.

"He's here!" Gray picked up the call while walking towards the door to open it for Freddie.

*YAWN* *YAWN*

"Hey, there champ! You awake this early in the morning?" Freddie greeted me while ruffling my hair and I again tried to set them straight.

*YAWN*

That wasn't me.

"Hey! You already leaving?" A sleepy Juvi walked down the stairs and scratched her hair before greeting Freddie,

"Hey Fred! Sup!"

"Hey, Juvi! I don't get why you girls awake this early in the morning. I've got it covered. You should get your beauty sleep you know!" Freddie winked at us as he picked up Gray's backpack and Gray returned after placing his suitcase in the trunk.

"Hey, Juvi. Go to sleep." Gray monotonously said as soon as he saw Juvi awake.

I really don't know why he keeps his distance so much from Juvi.

Almost all of us know by now that they both like each other.

Juvi does pounce on him every chance that she gets but still they both hold back a lot!

"What! I'm coming. And wasn't I supposed to drop you off?" Juvi spoke a little irritated.

"Hey, you literally went to sleep an hour ago and you are still tight on schedule! Fred's got me covered." Gray spoke as he tried to convince an already tired Juvi.

"Yeah. Don't worry about it!" Freddie assured us both. Juvi just hmphed for a little while but even she knew she was pretty tired.

"Alright. Don't cause any trouble for both Juvi and Tyler and listen to what they say okay?" Gray instructed.

"Gray, she's not a kid anymore!"

Freddie chuckled seeing him assume dad duty.

"I'll start the car," he informed Gray.

"Sure, thanks! And Vivy, go to the doctor once today to get that burn checked up and no going in the kitchen okay, I don't want you burning down the house" Gray bowed down as he continued.

"I love you and miss you already. Call me if you need anything or if anything happens!" He kissed my forehead as he pushed me back into the couch and tucked me under the blanket.

I frowned a little, annoyed with him not having any confidence in me but that felt quite different from when Tyler kissed me on the forehead, if not entirely, except for this feeling of familial security.

I'm in trouble I guess...

I drifted into my slumber as my thoughts started to fade slowly under the warmth of the blankets, my eyelids started to get heavy but I could still hear those two talking.
