Weeks passed by in a jiffy.
Both Tyler and I started our new jobs and things got further hectic with only 2 days left for the wedding.
Yes, the wedding got delayed because of the stupid venue management messing things up for us.
But Nathan and Sherry were fine with it either way.
Why are those two so selfless and ignorant when it comes to themselves?
And with all of this going on I was hardly able to meet with Jacob.
Finally tomorrow I'll be able to meet him! I wonder if I should do something.
Maybe I could bring him a cake!
*THE NEXT DAY*
I waited at the Beiley's Cafe with a cake ready. I wonder where he is, he is late. Why did he ask me to come here? If he was busy I could've directly gone to his place.
Let's wait inside, it's really hot in here, what if I start sweating and then . . . Shoo Shoo bad thoughts.
As I was about to head inside suddenly a pair of arms draped around my waist and his soft lips caressed my cheeks.
"Sorry I'm late." He pecked my lips lightly when I turned to face him.
"Well, what took you so long? If you were busy I could've come to pick you up." I said as I tilted my head.
"No. No. Don't worry about it! Anyway, let's go on our long-awaited date!" He said as he grabbed my hand and escorted me in the opposite direction.
"Wait, weren't we supposed to meet at Beiley's?" I inquired.
"It's a surprise!" Jacob smiled brightly as he helped me into his car. My heart fluttered seeing his gentleman side.
"Okay!" He was too adorable to question him further.
We drove past green pastures for over an hour. "Are we going out of town", I wondered. "I would've packed something," I mumbled.
"Don't worry. I've already had someone prepare whatever you might need beforehand." Jacob pecked the back of my hand as he informed me.
"So? Where are we headed?" I asked all excited.
"Almost there." he chuckled while still holding my hand in his.
We drove for another 10 mins and arrived at a mansion, no more like an estate!
We drove through huge black gates over a nicely cemented road that lead to an old and plain yet pretty huge building that was well-maintained. Greyish marble-like bricks stacked up so methodically and beautifully adorned by architectural pieces. A lush green carpet spread across the sides of this road and on the left-hand-side, was a smaller building, and as if Jacob never took his eyes off of me answered, "That's the servant's quarter."
Woah! That's fancy shit!
"Wait did you rent a room here? is this a hotel?" I inquired both excited and a little concerned. First, both of us would be together at a hotel together. Second, how much must it cost Jacob to book a room at such an expensive-looking place?
He burst out laughing as he parked the car in front of the front porch/entrance with people waiting outside.
"How do you like it?" Jacob wiped a small tear from the side of his eye.
"Seriously Jacob!" I exclaimed.
"Okay okay. Sorry." Jacob laughed a little again when a middle-aged man, probably in his late 50s, with grey hair neatly combed back, a white beard properly trimmed into discipline, and old but piercing black eyes observing me and in a crisp and wrinkle-free grey suit, greeted us with a deep bow while another young lady helped me out of the car. She wore a casual dress in contrast to the suit and was as short as me in height with short black hair and her bangs hooding her pale green eyes that stole a quick glance before nervously lowering them again, pressing her pink lips into a forceful yet shy little smile. Her pale skin though not in the best shape still seemed much smoother and younger than mine. She was probably a year or two younger than me. Is it okay for someone so young to work as a maid? Maybe she is Butler's granddaughter.
