After everyone had their chance to click pictures with the bride and the bridegroom, we moved the party to the reception hall, kicking off the event with both Sherry and Nathan dancing to Perfect with other couples joining the dance floor one by one after Tyler had his chance to dance with her first and me with Nathan.

I soaked up the scene of a happy Nathan and Sherry as he swirled her around while a grumpy Gray, who was being asked to dance by a very graceful Juvi.

He accepted it right away anyway so why resist?

I giggled as I waited for Jacob to show up. My eyes lingered around the entrance, wishing on every stranger's silhouette passing through hoping he would show up any moment.

The Jacob that I knew would show up.

"May I ask the young lonely lady for a dance?" I heard a familiar voice.

It was Tyler with a playful smirk plastered across his face. I almost rejected his offer when a text message popped up from Lucy,

"Master won't be able to make it, he has some urgent business to attend to."

My heart sighed in relief before it dropped out of disappointment.

Was that a sigh of relief?

I gasped but quickly composed myself and stuffed my phone back into my little clutch before Tyler noticed.

"You know you can dance with him once he arrives." His playful smirk dropped and so did his eyebrows.

"He won't be able to make it to the wedding," I said dryly as I took his hand and slipped the other on his shoulder.

His eyes widened with surprise but a hint of relief as he placed his other hand around my waist and escorted me to the dance floor.

We didn't speak for a couple of minutes avoiding our gazes while he also avoid my feet.

"Ow." he groaned.

"I'm sorry," I apologized as I got lost in my thoughts.

What could be more urgent than Nathan's wedding?

Well, I'm sure he has a valid reason. But didn't he say he was free today?

Plus it's a Saturday, what could keep him away?

My mind kept wandering into useless thoughts.

"Alright, enough with the brooding over the jerk who didn't show up." Tyler snapped.

"Excuse me?"

What's his deal?

"Why are you like this towards Jacob? Weren't you both on good terms?"

"What? No, it wasn't like that at all. Anyway, things are way different from when we were kids." He averted his eyes as we continued dancing.

"Seriously Tyler. You know he's my boyfriend, right?" I rolled my eyes at him, and that's when he pulled me in closer with our heads almost touching.

"Wa. . . wha. . waht are you doing?" I stammered as he kept touching our heads together and then suddenly pulled back only to feel his hand on my forehead.

"You have a fever, Vivy." His already furrowed brows frowned even more as his eyes lingered near my collarbone where my skin showed light hickey-tainted skin.

The cloth probably wiped the makeup little by little.

"What you kidding me! I'm completely fine." I scoffed at him as I pulled my dress at the collar to hide it.
