Chapter 43

* GASP *

Tyler often awoke from nightmares and Nathan and Sherry would be the first to know since they were sleeping next door although Juvi and Gray would soon take over.

Because of that Sherry's exhaustion started piling up and her doctor finally suggested complete bed rest for her. She was already more than halfway through her second trimester.

Tyler as discussed resigned from his company to recuperate. Juvi accompanied as promised. A lot of people were sad but seeing the state of shock Tyler was in they'd understand why he'd want that break.

"Since there's no changing your mind Tyler, I hope things will work out soon for the better. Nevertheless, our doors are always open to you." Tyler's manager reassured him.

"Tylerrrr~~~" Orba Petterson, Tyler's colleague, who usually spent a lot of time with him was the saddest.

"Why'd you have to leave?" he whined a lot too.

"Anyway, I didn't know you had such a beautiful sister you punk!" Tyler gave him a death stare as he saw Orba admiring Juvi.

"Geez, it was just a compliment."

"Anyway, Gray would kill you if he knew you were ogling his future wife." Tyler shrugged as he indirectly drew a boundary saying she was taken.

"Wait she's already engaged?" Orba heard his heart break in two.

"It's not entirely untrue. Those two are just, being stubborn and uselessly prolonging things. I should probably slip in some protection in his wallet in case they decide to..." Tyler almost chuckled but he suddenly remembered Vivy's face from that day and tried to distract himself and the best distraction was a heartbroken Orba.

"Excuse me, um, congratulations on your engagement." He sadly congratulated Juvi, completely throwing her off.

"Hmm?"

Tyler started his therapy too.

On the days he went to visit Vivy he had to take therapy first before visiting her. Kinda like a reward program.

He would talk to Vivy about his day-to-day life and updates on Sherry's condition. He'd spend almost the entire day with her.

Nathan got busy with work trying to avoid being depressed although he would come to check up on Sherry whenever time permitted him. Somehow after listening to Vivy's incident, he seemed even more concerned about Sherry's health. Gray and Juvi kept things lively from now and then and it was easy to miss their distressed hearts.

* A WEEK LATER *

* OSAR'S BOUTIQUE *

Juvi kept working on her pieces for the fashion fest she got selected for. She even made sure to take on jobs for Osar to distract herself from useless thoughts but that seemed in vain as she recalled how Tyler would wail all night and how utterly helpless she was.

She wondered, "Is there anything I could have done differently so that Vivy could've opened up to me sooner? I wonder if she truly loved Jacob. How did she feel when she found out? Did it hurt her? It's a good thing Tyler's sling is taken off now and that he's almost healed but .... What happened to Tyler to keep having such recurring nightmares? That reminds me of Nathan crying. It was the first time I'd ever seen him like that since mom and dad passed away. He must be heartbroken. I haven't told the two of them about what happened on that date. I can't tell them I still have nightmares now and then. It's scary. But how scary must it have been for Vivy." Juvi shivered from recalling what happened that day although she was able to cope well thanks to Gray. "It's been more than a week now. I wonder how he's doing?"
