"Is she asleep already?" Gray asked Nathan as he left after checking up on me."Yeah."
"Did her temperature drop?" Gray inquired. "Yeah. She doesn't seem to have a fever now."
"That's good."
"Anyway, you all packed up for tomorrow?" Gray inquired as they both walked away and their voices soon became distant sounds.
Around 11:15 p.m., I knew both my brothers are usually fast asleep as they sleep early and when it was all silent and I was sure Gray went to sleep and was not going to wake up anytime soon.
I carefully snuck out of the house, without making any sounds. I looked around to make sure nobody saw me, I made my way through the desolate street.
*ENIGE ROARING LIGHTLY * a car drove past me and stopped a little further ahead.
Is that a creep trying to pick me up?
I felt a little scared and as I was turning back to return to the house so I could book a cab instead, John stepped out of the car and he politely called out my name.
"Miss Vivylyn, it's me, John."
"Master Jacob has sent me to pick you up. You needn't book a cab." He further informed.
"Oh okay." I hesitantly got into the car.
We drove in silence for the most part. It was too awkward for me to strike up any conversation and I was still nervous to meet Jacob.
"Miss Vivylyn, do you really love master Jacob?" John suddenly asked.
What should I say?
Yes?
I mean it's not false entirely. I've held feelings for him and I know not everyone is perfect.
"I guess," I answered unsure even though I just said yes in my mind.
"I see. I would really appreciate it if you could grow to love master Jacob and lead a happy life with him. He seems happy with you."
Happy?!
Your psycho Master has me under surveillance and has been spying since God knows when!
Not to mention what he did to poor Lucy who was just trying to help me.
I wasn't sure why John tried to advocate Jacob but maybe because he felt a sense of loyalty and duty towards him, not that I can wrap my head around that either.
We pulled over after a couple of minutes in front of the Dominic group's building. I looked perplexed but John explained to me that Jacob lived in the penthouse in this building as he guided me there.
After we ascended the elevator and reached the top floor, John opened the doors to a lavish penthouse living room.
The floor and walls with black marble and paint while the ceiling decorated with stylish lights hanging down. There were three doors and I could only guess the kitchen was one of those doors while there was a bar opposite the living room.
Jacob sat waiting on one of his lavish L-shaped charcoal grey couches as he flipped through a couple of documents in a dark blue polo shirt.
A hard-working Jacob looks so sexy!
Huh?!
Wait! What am I thinking about this madman in love?
"My Love you came!" Jacob sprung out of the couch running towards me as he embraced me in his strong arms.
