"WWWAAAAAAAHHHHHH"
It's been six months already since we named Angelica and she's been growing up opposite to the meaning of her name, at least that's what Sherry says.
Angelica's been waking up at night a lot more lately. Sherry started working again a couple of weeks ago and it's been hectic for her trying to get used to the whole schedule and managing Angelica's mood swings at night. I've been helping them both out as much as I can but,
"WWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH AHA HAH AH"
It's 1 am at night.
"Baby please stop crying. Daddy will cry too....Are you feeling unwell?" Nathan coddled the wailing baby as he checked for any symptoms of ailment.
"No, I checked her and she seems fine. But I just can't understand why is she crying so much. I can't believe I'm a pediatrician who can't seem to calm her own daughter. We've changed diapers and fed her but she still doesn't seem to stop crying." Sherry groaned.
"Well, it's strange though, she usually calms down when you carry her."
* KNOCK * * KNOCK * * KNOCK *
"Can I help?" I offered to help.
I felt bad hearing her cry and well I'm always looking for a chance to be with her whenever possible. She somewhat helped me cope with my own feelings.
"Here," I stretched my arms out for Nathan to give her to me, who did so very reluctantly.
Nathan had become a fool for his daughter.
All he could talk about was Angelica and swoon over Angelica and coddle her all day long whenever he got the chance so much so that he once forgot he had to go on a date with Sherry and kept her waiting at the restaurant after work. They had a huge fight but it soon resolved when he realized his mistake and properly apologized....and with a lot of coaxing of course.
"Geez, daddy is just too much! Hogging our little princess all to himself, isn't he? My did our princess have a nightmare? Or did something scare her?" I hugged her gently and pat her back as I walked a few rounds in the living room.
"Nathan, Sherry why don't you guys sleep? I'll put her in the cradle once she's fallen asleep."
"Are you sure Vivy? It's quite late at night. Don't you...." I interrupted Sherry.
"No, it's quite alright. And you Both have work tomorrow morning. Plus I don't mind spending time with her. Isn't that right Genny, right? You like spending time with Aunt Vivy wright?"
Well no one can help but baby talk when they're faced with a pair of round and curious blue eyes.
"Ah Ah..HHNN...Hn.." Her nose scrunched a little as she sniveled but stopped crying even though her tiny lips drooped in frustration.
"Huh? She actually stopped crying." Nathan looked at us both curiously.
"Don't tell me she got tired of me," he whined as usual.
"Then why don't spend a little less time with her? She really might get tired of you one day." Sherry chuckled making Nathan whine even more.
Sherry is that your idea of a revenge against Nathan cause he's always annoying you?
"Alright, now let's go back to sleep. Come to Daddy." When Nathan picked her up again, she immediately burst into tears.
"AH...aH...Uuuu....WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHNN HAAANNN WAAAAAHHHHHH"
"WHAAAAAAAYYYYY" Nathan cried too.
"Ssh, ssh it's alright. It's alright. I'm right here." I carried Angelica back with me out of the room.
