I finally met with those blue eyes over a freckled nose and under her curly red hair as she sat there wearing an expression that seemed to be a mixture of shock and guilt.

I decided to finally meet with Lisa after consulting with Tyler. He encouraged me and even suggested he'd take a day off but I opposed it. I couldn't always be coddled by them.
Lisa agreed to meet in the afternoon since she had half a day off. So I suggested we have lunch.
"Vivy!" Lisa threw her arms around me as soon as she saw me. She looked healthy. Her blue eyes sparkled with excitement and curiosity but were slightly sad. Her legs were all healed and her skin looked bright.
"How are you? It's been so long!" Lisa hugged me tighter as she conveyed her loneliness awkwardly.
"I know, I'm sorry I couldn't get in touch as much as I did before!" I apologized as I invited her in.
"I swear! And you moved into your own place too! How could you hide it from me!" She complained while scanning my place. "It's such an adorable place. Wait why do you have two rooms? Roommate?" She looked at me surprised.
"Oh no, That's kinda like my studio room where I paint and stuff. I started painting for a bit. But I need to find a proper job. It's high time. Also, I had hidden it from the others too for a while but just recently few a weeks ago did I reveal my place." I laughed awkwardly trying to comfort her a little. She looked at me bewildered for a second before she pondered awkwardly about if she should ask about it or not.
Of course, she will be confused. She hardly knows anything. Plus I hadn't been speaking much with her. I bet she's feeling awkward after I suddenly vanished and only occasionally spoke via chats.
"I'm sure you have a lot of questions but how about we save them for after lunch?" I smiled kindly and happily at her as I suggested, to make her feel comfortable. I was truly happy seeing her safe and sound and healthy and I wanted to bask in that relief as long as I could.
We talked about her new job and the new place that she moved into with her boyfriend that's close to her mom's. She talked about her hectic last semester and about other random stuff over lunch. It was a nice change of pace to see her chirpy but I could sense her impatience behind every word she spoke speedily as if speeding through the conversation to the part that actually mattered. And I could sense my heart growing anxious.
After we put our dishes in the sink I brought out some wine to set the mood or maybe for some liquor courage.
"So," She awkwardly spoke before she decided to bite the bullet and ask away seeing how I was already hesitating to talk about it. Somewhere in my heart, I was thankful. "What actually happened? I heard vaguely from Nathan and Gray."
She sipped on her glass of wine. I stayed quiet for a minute before gulping a couple of sips from my own glass. "What did they tell you?"
"You got into an accident along with Tyler and Jacob and..." she paused as she winced almost giving in to her tears. "...Why didn't you tell me...that...you were pregnant?"
My heart thumped when she mentioned the pregnancy and I unconsciously placed my hand on my belly taking her by surprise.
What should I say? What should I tell her? How should I tell her?
