"Hey, Good Morning!" Orba startled an absorbed Tyler early in the morning.
It had been over three weeks since Vivy vanished from his life. He had been constantly searching for her but he seemed to have improved a little after spending some time with Orba.
Orba had been keeping him company from time to time whenever he felt down and they had grown quite close.
"Are you still searching for her? That's borderline obsessive disorder you know. Just leave her be, will you? You said she's in contact with her brothers right? Then just give it time you moron." Orba scolded him for not doing work and instead using the company resources for personal use.
Tyler had been calling different listings posted on the internet to see if he could find Vivy behind the scenes. Even though he knew that it was wrong and useless, he still just wanted to have some peace of mind knowing where she stayed. He decided to wait for her but he didn't give up the pursuit of at least knowing her whereabouts.
"Good morning." Carmel greeted them.
Although things were still awkward between her and Tyler in the beginning, she gradually came around and decided to let go of her petty anger after all she did feel slightly guilty after accidentally overhearing Orba and Tyler's conversation about Vivy going missing.
"You know you will never win her over if you keep acting like this." Carmel would occasionally pass benign taunts and somehow their relationship was starting to mold into that of a squabbling friendship.
They would keep teasing each other sarcastically from time to time and sometimes poor Orba would wonder if that was a joke or if it was intentional.
He hung on somehow.
But today's comment was more like a way to avert any crisis as she seems to have found herself in a slightly different type of dilemma ever since a week ago.
* A WEEK AGO *
When Carmel returned home and was searching for her apartment keys one night, the neighbor's door opened at the same time and an angry-looking young man with dark brown hair and brown eyes walked out of the apartment nagging at a young girl with brown hair and blueish gray eyes that widened when they met hers.
"Oh, I'm really sorry for causing a ruckus. Nice to meet you. My sister just moved in recently, hope you'll treat her well."
The young man extended his hand to shake but instead he met with a shocked Carmel who stared at his gawking sister and the corridor was filled with the sound of the keys dropping to the floor.
"Huh? Huh? You guys know each other or something?" The young man asked and after a brief moment of silence Carmel blurted out completely ignoring the young man.
"Have you been here this whole time?" She tried reaching for her phone hastily and the young girl caught her arm as she hastily spoke.
"Please. Please don't tell Tyler."
"Huh? Do you even know what he's going through? How can you just up and leave?" Carmel scolded her as she felt anger and jealousy seething in her from the fact that she was rejected for a girl like Vivy.
And she totally wasn't listening and ended up misunderstanding the whole situation, "And are you living with another man when you know how Tyler feels about you?"
"Lady, what are you talking about? I clearly said she's my sister! Vivy, do you know her? How does she know Tyler?" The young man inquired.
"Sigh. Gray, this is Carmel, Tyler's co-worker, and Carmel this is Gray, my elder brother. And yes I know all too well what he's going through but...but this is for the best. So please don't tell him." Vivy explained.
