* Third person's p.o.v. *

A week passed away in a blink of an eye and it was already time for Tyler to leave for Florida. Tyler spoke regularly with Vivy on the phone during his stay. It was only 3 nights but it felt longer than that. While he was there, there was quite a buzz among the ladies from the other department about the hottie they hadn't noticed.

It was Tyler of course.

On the third night, after refusing one of the female employees who had asked Tyler for a short meet-up, he ended up crossing paths with her late at night when he wasn't able to fall asleep and was buying himself a drink at the vending machine near the lounge area.

"Hi," she greeted seductively and Tyler simply nodded curtly before getting his drink and turning around to leave but she caught his arm.

"Hey, just hear me out will ya. I just want to have a friendly chat."

Tyler had been proposed to by one too many girls since high school and he knew where this might be going but he still gave her the benefit of doubt as he felt it might be rude to simply assume things. He stood there silently and reciprocated a faint smile. Her face brightened up and let go of his arm once she was convinced he wasn't leaving.

"Well, It's nice to meet you. I'm Julia Decaprio. I joined just a couple of months ago." Julia introduced herself coyly.

She was a beautiful and an attractive woman with short shoulder-length fluffy black hair and Hazel eyes with a more greenish tint. She wore light makeup despite it being so late at night and her pink lips curved in a smile as she looked at Tyler with hopeful eyes.

"You see. I know this might be out of the blue but I actually like you and...." before she could finish Tyler flashed his business smile and flat-out rejected her to her face. He waited just long enough for her to utter the words 'like you' so he could nab his opportunity.

"I'm sorry. I already have someone else on my mind and I can't return your feelings. Thank you for letting me know though." and was about to leave when she pulled on his wrist desperately.

"Hey. At least let me finish. You said you have someone on your mind. That doesn't mean you have a girlfriend right?" she looked at him with a look screaming 'you're unbelievable'.

"Is it that red-haired woman you hang out with?" she dropped all curtsey as she thought she had nothing to lose.

"Hah?..."  Tyler was about to refute and clear the misunderstanding when his phone rang loudly engulfing the silent corridor, startling both of them.

* RING *

When he checked, it was Gray. "Why's he calling me at this hour?" he thought anxiously but picked up the phone anyway. "Hello?"

"Hey! Sorry for calling you this late but....Vivy's been crying and searching for you and won't let up. No matter what we say." he sounded worried.

"What is she doing with you?" Tyler scowled. He didn't know Vivy was visiting them.

"We brought her home thinking she might be lonely at the apartment. Anyway talk to her, that might calm her down." Gray informed Tyler.

"Yeah, give her the phone." Tyler heard sniffles on the other side of the call as Vivy called out his name.

"Tyler?"

His heart squeezed a little with happiness from hearing the slight desperation and longing in her voice despite her sniffling and crying. As he imagined her teary eyes and crouched up figure unraveling and running to him like on the night of Lucy's wedding, the gentlest smile broke across his face surprising Julia who was completely being ignored.
