* BACK AT GRANT RESIDENCE *

"Let's get you in bed Tyler." I patted his back as he rest his head on the table for a bit.

"Urgh, no!"

Nathan? Tyler? Did Nathan influence him?

"What do you mean by no?" Tyler suddenly hugged me by my waist burying his face into my belly. I shuddered from the thought he might have noticed something but he was too drunk.

"Ty-Tyler?"

"Sherry's gonna move soon." Tyler whine.

Is he talking about their new home? They haven't even found one yet.

"There's still quite some time for that to happen." I stroked his head as he complained further, "Both your brothers are taking away my sisters. I'm all alone now."

"No one's taking your sisters away." I tried to hold myself back from laughing as he acted all cute and rubbed my belly as he shook his head.

It tickles. Wait why do I get a sense of deja vu?

"And now you're leaving me too." he suddenly looked up straight in the eyes.

What?!

Does he know something? Or is he just drunk talking?

"Why do you say that? I'm right here with you?" he frowned and puckered his cheeks and rubbed his face in my belly trying to deny it.

"Ahaha! Stop, it tickles, Tyler" I burst out laughing.

"Alright alright, I won't leave you. I promise. ahaha" I lied but I truly wished for that deep inside my heart.

He finally stopped, "Then why are you width him?"

"Who?" I asked even though I knew the answer and I guess he wasn't as drunk when pouted at me again angrily but nevertheless answered.

"Jerk Jacob."

Jerk Jacob huh?

"Then whom should I be with?" I asked him as if talking with him might yield a solution to my own predicament.

He immediately answered, "Me."

I was surprised but my heart fluttered for a moment.

I wish I could.

"You promised to be my bride. How can you back out now?"

It seems I promised a lot of false hope around and nothing has changed since then even as I lie through my teeth now.

But I couldn't say anything back.

"You don't love me anymore?" He suddenly asked.

"What are you talking about?" I was taken aback by how easily I got angry.

Why couldn't I say something to Jacob back then?

"Then do you?" Tyler suddenly stood up and because he was still drunk, he stumbled forward and accidentally kissed me on my lips even though he regained his balance.

Huh? Huuuuuuh?

We both stepped back drawing a thin veil of awkward silence between us for a whole minute.

My cheeks burned from embarrassment and my ears were filled with the sound of my heart beating against my ribcage.

Have I ever felt so strongly like this before from just a peck on my lips?

I guess my hormones are running wild.

When I decided to speak we both overlapped as we apologized to each other, "Sorry."
