Chapter 26

I could hear Lisa's weak voice as she called out my name before losing consciousness again, "Vi...vi.....V" and it lingered in my head.

After the paramedics arrived I was swept in by the course of actions as I franatically explained them about what happened and begging them to save her at all costs. I told them Nathan worked at the hospital too and then I suddenly realized he isn't here.

What will happen to Lisa? I panicked.

But the doctors said they'll do their best as they entered the operation theatre with Lisa leaving me alone with my thoughts in the corridor. I had forgotten my purse in all that chaos and just had my phone with me covered in her blood.

Gasp!

I realized my hands were covered in blood and so was my blouse and skirt.

What should I do? I wondered as I sat there blankly staring at the floor.

Should I call Nathan? Ask him to tell one of his doctor friends.

Sherry?

"Vivy!!!" I heard Tyler's voice at the hospital.

What are you doing here?

I wanted to say that but my voice wouldn't come out as I choked seeing a worried Tyler running towards me until he hugged me so tight I could finally let it out.

* RING * *RING *

"Oye! Tyler your phone's buzzing." Tyler's colleague Petterson called out to him while he was getting myself a cup of coffee.

"Who's Vivy? Btw?" And he really is quite nosy.

"None of your business." Tyler curtly replied as he walked to the corner of the canteen to get the call.

"I wonder what she wants to tell me this time. Last time was a new project." He chuckled to himself only to fall right on his face, when he heard her vaguely speak his name,

"Ty..Ler ... Lisa" followed by a man's voice as he informed Tyler they were taking her to the hospital that Nathan worked at.

What!? Did something happen to her?

Tyler quickly ran to his manager's desk to inform him that he'll be leaving due to an emergency and didn't even bother to pack anything with him. When he reached the hospital they told him there was no such patient admitted.

"That's absurd! I just received a call!" Tyler shouted at the receptionist.

"Sir, I think you're either mistaken or maybe it was someone with the patient. Do you remember the patient who they might be with?"

"I think I zoned out after I heard the man's voice. No wait I think she said Lisa!"

"Is there a Lisa, Lisa Matthews admitted right now." Tyler asked impatiently.

"Yes, there's one on the second floor, she's currently being operated in room 3."  before she could finish Tyler cut her in, "Is there a place to wait outside?"

"Yes there are benches outside if you take the stairs on the right and turn left, you'll ...." He picked out the important bits before sprinting up the stairs to the second floor as fast as he could.

"Turn left she said," and his eyes finally laid on a scared and confused Vivy.

Her hands and blouse covered in blood as she blankly stared at the floor.
