Surprisingly after that day, Nathan and Gray allowed Tyler to stay over more often at my apartment but they still insisted on me returning home.
Yeah, no.
I think I better stay put there.
Although I promised I'd visit more often.
Tyler's expression grew softer too with time as he felt a little at ease staying with me and Orba wouldn't let him hear the end of it.
Carmel would occasionally chime in to roast him until one day Orba adamantly insisted on having dinner together and meeting up.
When Tyler didn't agree he simply messaged me and I, of course, invited him over for dinner along with Carmel without consulting Tyler, again.
Oops!
"Ayy! Vivy! It's been a long time!" Orba arrived a little later after Carmel who had already come over to help me with the dinner preparations.
He hugged me and Tyler clearly scowled behind us and pulled me back into his arms after Orba hugged me a second too long.
Geez, it's just a hug.
He seemed like Jacob but I don't feel scared or threatened.
I almost feel nice, like I'm just being protected. Kinda like my brothers do.
"Geez," Orba complained about a jealous Tyler.
"Ehehe"
While we ate our dinner Orba brought up the trip their company was planning.
"There's gonna be a convention in Florida next week btw. This guy signed up for it months ago but is now backing out. Vivy help me out here!"
"Eeeh! Why? Tyler you should totally go! Why are you suddenly canceling the plan?" I complained too!
That sounds so exciting.
Spending time with your co-workers on a trip. I wonder how fun it would be.
"What? Why are you always prone to kicking me out?" Tyler pouted.
"Pfft! Cause you're always being a pain in the neck. Duh!" Carmel teased him and Tyler growled at her while I and Orba laughed awkwardly.
"I'm always caught in a strange place when these two start acting like that. I feel like I have two teenage kids and a tiring job simultaneously." I laughed seeing Orba complain about those two.
But it seems like they are getting along well despite the trouble I made for them.
I'd love for Tyler to get along well with his co-worker and my friends.
Yeah, Carmel's my friend now. A good one at that.
It's been a while since I met with Lisa. I wonder what she's been up to these days.
It's partially my fault too, I avoided her calls a couple of times out of the guilt of hurting her.
I'm still debating on whether I should tell her or not.
"Earth to Vivy?" Carmel waved her hand in front of my face and Tyler grabbed my hand on the table looking slightly worried.
"Oh sorry, I got lost in thought. I thought how fun it would be to go on a trip!" I sounded cheerful.
"Tyler you should definitely go! Are you not going because of me?" I whispered the last bit but he heard it anyway.
"No, that's not it. I just felt like it's gonna be a pain in the neck. There'll be people from different departments and it's draining talking to people." Tyler whined as he rubbed the back of my hand.
