+THIRD+Namjoon sits at his desk, tapping his foot against one of the legs with his shoes as he waits for the buzzer to sound. It feels like it's taking longer than usual and he hates how time works against people when they're waiting for things. His patience doesn't need to be tested. He's been patient enough if he says so himself.
He's got all of his things already packed to walk out. So when the buzzer finally does go off, he picks it right up and walks out of the classroom. He looks ice to side, scanning the hallway to find Isaac. His jaw is clenching and unclenching as he keeps himself calm.
He's not going to put his hands on him. He's not going to start fights. He's just going to make it very clear that Malia is off limits. She is his girlfriend and nobody else's to bother that way.
Namjoon walks down the hall and sees Malia walking out of the building. He looks to his left to find Isaac walking to slap up one of his friends.
Perfect timing, he thinks.
As soon as Malia is out the door, he walks over to Isaac. He'd prefer to have this conversation privately as to avoid further conflict.
"Aye, Isaac." He calls as he walks over. The man turns around and looks at him. With a smile on his face, he makes the gesture to slap him up.
"What's up, captain?"
Namjoon keeps his hands on the straps of his book bag.
"Nothing much. Can I talk to you outside for a minute?" He's unblinking, staring at the man. He's not giving off any signs of this being a friendly conversation because it won't be. He already feels like Isaac needs his ass whooped but he can't be the one to do it.
Putting him in check about anything involving his girlfriend is the next best thing.
Isaac looks at his friend. "I'll be back in a second."
Namjoon starts walking to the exit with Isaac close behind. They walk down the steps and off to the side so that they aren't in anybody's way.
"What's up? What you wanted to talk about?"
"My girlfriend." He deadpans.
Isaac's eyebrows twitch and he looks confused.
"You talking about Malia?"
"Yeah. You need to leave her alone. She already told we're together and I'm pretty you've noticed that she's uncomfortable around you. To the point that she's trying to be polite and still get you to leave her alone. This is her second time bringing me up in conversation and your third ignoring her words. Stop asking her out. It's not happening."
Isaac raises his eyebrows and scoffs as he licks his lips. Namjoon's hands grip the straps of his bag.
"Look, imma be real with you. Y'all can't be that serious if she telling niggas y'all was complicated before. You checking me, you need to check her. I don't owe you shit, she owe you the loyalty." Isaac looks him up and down. Namjoon clenches his jaw and breathes calmly as his heart beats a little faster.
"Was. As in past tense. You hear what the fuck I'm telling you. I don't gotta explain shit else about it. She's my girl and that's just what it is. It's not about her owing me loyalty, I got that. It's about my respect." Namjoon clarifies and puts emphasis on the last part.
"If I hear about you talking to her again, I'm putting you on your ass. And if you ever in your life put your hands on her again, especially non-consensual like you did this summer, I'm knocking you the fuck out."
Namjoon makes that clear as Isaac screws his face up, taking a step back.
"Shit ain't even worth all that. You buggin. These girls come and go. Trust me on that."
