Xavier walks into the house with a glum look on his face and watery eyes.

He hasn't been crying today. But he has been sneezing like a madman all damn day. They've been back home for four days and he's already gotten sick.

He would blame it on one of his friends but sickness incubates for 48 hours before symptoms starts. He started sneezing his third day home. He was technically sick after he got back.

As he walks up the stairs, he pauses in step. He inhales and closes his eyes as he sneezes.

"God dammit! Oh my God." He grumbles as he walks up the stairs. "Dirty ass public air."

He walks down the hall and into the bedroom. He partly blames himself for being sick because he and Janae stayed at a rented home when they could have just stayed at Nayeli's house.

Janae wants to get her own place so bad but hasn't brought herself to look anything up.

Nayeli's moving out of her house soon. She's been there for so long but she's married now. She and her husband bought a new house closer to her job.

She hasn't decided what she'll do with that one yet. In total honesty, she's thinking of letting Xavier have it. He'll take great care of it and she knows that he's responsible enough to do so. And if he isn't, Janae definitely is.

But staying at Nayeli's wasn't completely an option this year. It was decided that Xavier's family would travel to Janae's city this year, grandparents included.

So while the Baker household was being occupied by the Xavier's family, the young couple decided to get a space outside of the house so that it wasn't too crowded.

Tossing his backpack onto the floor, Xavier sprays it down with Lysol. He's being particularly cautious because he doesn't want to carry extra germs on him and get Janae sick.

He peels his shirt from his body and walks over the hamper to throw it in.

As he's unbuttoning his jeans, he thinks of what's been plaguing his mind for the last several days. It started as an argument that he and Janae had gotten into. The argument itself wasn't the issue. Couples have disagreements. That's normal.

It's what they argued about that pissed him off beyond fucking belief. It was the day before they even left to go home. He's been furious about it ever since it happened. It'll be engraved into his mind forever.

He had just gotten back to the frat house from class. He was stripping his clothes off, getting ready to get in the shower when he had caught something out of the corner of his eye. Double taking, he looked harder at the opened book on the desk.

Usually, he'd use the desk to do homework. But only if Janae is sleeping in the bed and he doesn't want to wake her up. Or she uses it to make PowerPoints on her laptop when she really needs to focus.

Xavier's eyebrows pull together as he looks at the images scribbled out with black sharpie marker. He picks the magazine up and flips through it. As he realizes what it is, he also realizes what's been done to it.

Janae's bare footsteps come pattering into the room and he slowly looks over at her. In both curiosity and concern, his eyebrows are still pulled together.

"What's this?"
"What are you doing with that?"

They speak at the same time. Her eyes widen seeing him with it and his eyebrows raise, really wondering what's going on now.
