Namjoon walks across campus typing on his phone. He's trying to get everything planned in advance for Malia's one Christmas wish. If everything is set in stone now, nobody can say that they have plans already.

So far, both sets of parents are on board for it. The only person giving him a mildly difficult time about it is Janae. He texted her about the day after Malia brought the idea up. She texted him back a few hours later saying that she would have to make sure that she could make it.

He thought that it was weird considering that she was there on Christmas morning the year prior. Their school's have breaks at the same time. There's no way that she won't be home for that. He's not wondering because it's his business necessarily. But simply because Malia wants her there and something is preventing his girlfriend from getting what she wants.

"Hey, Joon."

Xavier greets him as he walks over.

"Wassup." He slaps him up as they fall in stride together.

"Why you look so pissed?"

"I'm not." He says as he locks his phone and puts it in his pocket. "I'm just tryna plan something and Janae being difficult."

Xavier puts his head down, biting the inside of his cheek. Janae already explained everything to him. He knows what's going on and it's a part of the reason why their resolve for waiting until Christmas is obviously breaking.

Janae can't be in two places at once. And if she isn't where she usually is, of course questions are going to arise.

The plan was for Janae to spend Christmas Eve with her own family as she usually does. She would then take the drive to Xavier's house an hour away to meet his family. She was going to spend the night and Christmas with them.

The Torres family is excited to meet the young woman keeping their son so happy. He spent almost his entire summer with her and Malia.

He and Janae have kind of come up with a solution to the problem but said solution causes another problem. And that's where the issue is. They're just going to have to tell them.

"I actually have to talk to you about that."

Namjoon side eyes him and his eyebrows pinch together. Xavier stops walking and looks at him. He sees the questioning and skepticism on his face.

"Janae is being iffy for the Christmas thing because she's supposed to be with me for it."

Namjoon blinks back and then his eyes widen.

"Y'all fucking?!"

"Oh my go-. Shut up." He whisper yells as he looks around. He knows that Malia isn't around at the moment but he's not taking any chances.

"What the fuck?" Namjoon is in shock. "Since when? You told me you didn't see her at the party."

"I lied, obviously. We didn't want to say anything because Lia was all crying and sad and eating a singular tub of ice cream in two days." Xavier explains and Namjoon still stands there with wide eyes.

"We've been talking since June but-."

He's cut off by the younger man's complete and utter disbelief. "JUNE?! The school year was just ending. What the fuck. How did that even start? You don't even live near us."

"I live an hour away and I was there for Malia. She wanted me and Janae there for her so we were. Tension was high, it was hot, Janae's hot and we were horny. Are you catching my drift?"

"I thought she was with Marcus...?" Namjoon's mind is still trying to process as he stares at the ground.

"No. She caught him getting head from some girl in the parking lot of his job and yanked him out. They started fighting. He got fired, so he kept harassing her on social media about it with threats. I beat his ass. Look-. That's not the point. The point is that one of these upcoming holidays, Janae cannot be in attendance for."
