Reckless, this was.
So fucking stupid.
Why did I even do all of this?
Why did I come here?
We're not together and she doesn't want to be with me? She's got me blocked. I've been blocked for a couple weeks. She hasn't said anything to me. She's barely even looked at me.
Why did I think that just because I wanted to do something for her that she'd be open to doing it with me?
How could I be so fucking stupid?
All the things that I've put her through and she's supposed to just welcome me back with open arms? Am I an idiot?
I might be.
I am.
For her, I'll always be, I guess. It has yet to change. And I don't want it to change. I never want it to. Even if it does for her, no matter how much time passes, it won't to me.
But maybe sitting on the doorstep to her apartment while it's raining isn't the best idea. In my defense though, I didn't know that it was going to rain. I didn't really care to check, either.
I only wanted to get everything that I needed for what I planned. I mapped everything out and planned for everything. Except the weather... and her not answering the door.
Taking in a deep breath, I check the time on my phone. Xavier's text from six minutes ago pops up and I stare at it for a few seconds.
Xa: Good luck, Joon. You know she loves you
Rolling my eyes, I lock my phone and stand up. As I walk into the parking lot, I throw the flowers into the garbage and take my keys out of my pocket.
I get into my car and turn it on, turning the vents away from me so that I don't boil to death. I have yet to turn the heat down. It's still at what it was the last time that Malia was in my car.
I put my hand on the stick shift and look in the rear view mirror to back up. I watch as a silver car pulls onto the lot, stopping me from backing up. I wait for it to get out my way and check my driver's window to make sure it's parked and no longer moving.
The car parks and the passenger door opens. Malia steps out of the car and my face screws in confusion. Her car is literally parked two spaces down from mine in this lot.
She closes the door and and looks to the driver side as she laughs. Her school bag is on her back and she's trying to pull her hood up over her hair.
I see a black head of hair on the driver's side and get pissed the second I recognize Yoongi. His face is screwed up, looking upset that it's raining. He looks at the sky and yells something that makes Malia laugh.
Her hands are over her head, trying to minimize the amount of water getting onto her hair. Yoongi reaches over the hood of his car and hands her his hat. She smacks her teeth and deadpans.
He laughs, showing all of his teeth as she gets it on as best she can over her hair. She speed walks to the path, waving back to him.
"Thank you!" She calls over the rain.
"No problem. I'll see you tomorrow!" He calls back. He gets into his car and backs out with ease, pulling off from the lot.
He doesn't even wait until she gets into the house first. Asshole.
Malia walks up the path and steps up to the door. As she's opening the door, she must see the flowers. She looks over at them and stares for a second.
Grabbing the card from among the roses, she looks around and sees my car. I put it in park again as my heart rams in my chest. Her body turns to face the lot and the look on her face is mildly confused.
