+THIRD+Namjoon looks around as they walk through the gates of the football field. He looks down at the tickets in hand and then around again.
"I think it's this way, Joon. I'm pretty sure." Mrs. Ward says.
"Section 3B is on the right, though. It's those spaces right there." Namjoon points. "So shouldn't 3A be right here?" He points to the bleachers on his left.
"That's if they're going left to right. If they're not, then it's two bleacher sections over." Mrs. Kim says as she looks around with him.
Mr. Ward looks around as well, with his hands in his pockets. He's no help to finding their section. He's just enjoying the view of the massive field, impressed with the architecture.
They all gathered together at the field to watch the battle of the bands. Well, battle of the school marching bands, that is. With the knowledge that their Malia is performing with Georgia Tech's band, Janae along with Mrs. Ward and Mrs. Kim fought online for these tickets. They always sell out fast and the fact that they needed eight was a hassle in itself.
Janae's parents were adamant on making it to at least one of her performances this year being that they couldn't the year prior due to work conflicts. But this... they took off for this. All of their parents did.
Xavier and Janae look at each other as the others bond in their confusion. One growing annoyed and one using general common sense, they decide to ask security directors for where their seating is. Once that's given to them, Xavier rallies them up.
"It's two sections down. They did it right to left."
"That was dumb. Anybody with etiquette would go left to right. That's normal, isn't it?" Mrs. Ward asks her husband.
"Yeah. I don't know why they did it this way. That's probably why everyone is so confused walking back and forth." He tells her.
"They can't be mad if people aren't seated in time. This was the dumbest thing they could have done." Janae says as she crosses her arms.
"Right next to not opening the second parking lot like there aren't hundreds of people here to watch this." Xavier says.
"Georgia Tech would never." Mr. Ward says as he puts his hands in his pockets. Namjoon snickers at his words and Janae's father laughs.
"They make sure them lots be open for y'all, boy. They don't play no games whatsoever."
"And even if they don't. They know we gonna pack them streets up, you hear me?" Mr. Ward laughs with his good friend. "Shiieett. I ain't missing a single play. Especially not for that championship game. I'll elbowing people out my way. I got special privileges."
Namjoon and Xavier laugh with the older gentlemen as the women shake their heads. Mr. Ward would really throw some elbows to make sure he gets a parking space in time for the first whistle of the game. They're always there to catch the warm ups as well. He doesn't miss a single thing.
"They specified the seats on them tickets, Joonbug?"
"We can just pick our own seats, right?" Mrs. Kim asks. "Let me see." She peeks at the tickets in her son's hands.
"Yeah... uuhhh." He looks at the 3A bleachers as they approach them.
"Oh. There's some open in the front." Janae's mom points.
Namjoon and Xavier looks at each other then at the women.
"I don't think that's a good idea." Xavier says.
