But I'm a Villain

Shinso Haruka

It's been a couple weeks since Haruka was born. It's been a little rough trying to get used to having him, but I felt that Denki and I were doing fairly well, especially since the league has been helping out. For the first couple days we didn't tell anybody outside base that Denki had Haruka, Denki needed time to recover so we waited a while before breaking the news. This made Denki's parents fairly upset.
   The day we finally told them they yelled at Denki for letting the league be there but not them, how irresponsible it was, etc etc. We haven't spoken to them since, even though they call practically every day asking when they can see Haruka. It's going to be while as Denki doesn't feel comfortable letting them around Haruka yet. We told Denki's classmates that same day, though the reaction was completely opposite from Denki's parents. Today we were going to take Haruka over to UA as 2A wanted to meet him. Denki has been begging me to let 2A meet him aswell so I finally gave in.
After we woke up and got dressed Denki and I went to pester Tomura for a ride then loaded into the car. I took the passenger seat, letting Denki sit in the back with Haruka. When we got to UA Denki carefully picked him up from inside the car seat and carried him to the dorm. I opened the door for him and we stepped inside, instantly getting a crowd formed around us. "Move! I have to be the first to hold him!" Mina yelled as she shoving through the crowd.
   "Easy, guys. Let them get inside first." Eijiro laughed as he walked up to his fellow classmates. They listened and backed up so that Denki and I could fully get inside the building.
   Once we were in Mina ran up to Denki, her eyes shining when she saw Haruka. "Aw, he's so cute! He looks just like you guys." Mina smiled. Denki moved Haruka into Mina's arms and showed her how to hold him properly. The second Mina had him the rest of the class surrounded her, wanting their chance to hold him, "Back off, he's mine!"
"Woah! His eyes are so cool, dude!" Eijiro commented as he walked up behind Mina and held out one of his fingers to Haruka.
"He's a cute little shit, I can give you guys that much." Katsuki added, resting his head on Eijiro's shoulder.
"Kat, language! You can't talk like that around the baby!"
"Why not? It's not like he can understand me, Ei. He won't even remember this." Katsuki scoffed.
   Denki came over to me and wrapped his arms around my waist, watching as Eijiro and Katsuki argued while the rest of the class debated over who got to hold Haruka next. "You're not worried?" I asked, putting my arm around his shoulders.
"No, I trust them with him. They wouldn't hurt him." Denki replied, "I'm glad he has them in his life, he's going to grow up with so many people who care about him."
I smiled, "Yeah, he really is." Denki and I turned around when we heard the door open behind us.
Eraserhead walked in and froze when our eyes met. I started to run but Denki grabbed my arm, stopping me. "Shinso, I'm not going to report you." Eraserhead said, a sad look on his face.
I looked at him, surprised, "Huh? Why not?"
"I've told you before, I still think there's hope for you and I would like it if you came back to UA. My offer still stands."
"I-" I was interrupted by Mina running up with Haruka in her arms.
"Mr. Aizawa, look! Denki had the baby!" Mina said, holding Haruka so Eraserhead could see him better.
Eraserhead looked up at us and smiled, "Congrats you two. You're going to be amazing parents."
My mind flashed back to the day the old man left, though I was pulled out of my head by Denki shaking me. "Toshi? Did you hear me? Is it alright if Mr. Aizawa hold Haruka?"
I looked down at Denki then over to Eraserhead. The idea of that hero touching my son made my skin crawl, but I pushed down the feeling and plastered a fake smile onto my face, "Sure, if he wants to."
   Mina transfered Haruka into Eraserhead's arms. He perfectly held Haruka, Mina and Denki's eyes widening. He looked at them, confused. "What? I'm 31, I know how to hold a baby."
   Eraserhead walked over to me and placed Haruka in my arms. "Think about it a little more. You're a father now, Shinso. Make the right choices." After Haruka was safely in my arms Eraserhead walked out, not saying another word.
   Denki placed a hand on my shoulder and gave me a soft smile. "Don't worry about what he said too much. You're making the right decisions in life, I'm sure of it." I nodded, taking notice that class 2A was starting to surround me. A few seconds later Haruka randomly starting to cry.
   I paniced a little before quickly regaining my composure, holding Haruka against my shoulder as I slowly started to rub his back. "Shh, you're alright." I quietly said to him.
   "Is he ok?" Denki asked, worry in his eyes.
   I smiled, "He's alright, love. He's probably just a little overwhelmed from all the people." I replied as Haruka slowly started to calm down. He was used to being around multiple people, just not like this. I'm sure it's scary to someone who's only a few weeks old.
When Haruka was calm again class 2A guided us to the living room, wanting us to stay and watch movies for a little while. We agreed and I gave Haruka to Denki then sat down on the floor. Denki joined me and sat in between my legs, resting his head on my shoulder.
   About an hour through the first movie Haruka started crying again. Denki took him upstairs to try feeding him to see if that calmed him down, leaving me alone with 2A. A couple minutes after Denki was out of the room a pair of arms flew around my neck. I looked back to see Mina smiling at me, "Wha-"
"I'm proud of you, ya know. We all are." Mina said.
"Proud of me? For what?"
   "For taking care of Denki. For staying with him to raise Haruka. For a lot of things, really. You're a really good guy, I'm glad Denki has somebody like you by his side. I believe in you, you and Denki are going to accomplish so much together, I can feel it."
   Right as I was about to respond Denki returned, Haruka asleep in his arms. He sat back down in his earlier position, his eyes fixated on the movie. I turned back and gave Mina a soft smile before turning back around, placing my arms around Denki's waist. We spent the rest of the night at UA, or at least until Tomura got tired and came to get us.
   Denki and I swapped seats for the car ride back, leaving me in the backseat with a now wide awake Haruka. Haruka currently had hold of my finger, laughing as I wiggled it back and forth. I looked over at Denki who was resting his head against the car window, a smile appearing on my face. I then looked back down at Haruka, his bright smile making me even more grateful for the life I've been given, along with excitement for what the future holds.
