The call went silent, that is until Denki's mom burst into laughter. "That's so funny! When did you learn how to make these kind of jokes?"
"Mom, I'm not joking. I'm being serious." Denki said, his tone stern.
His mom stopped laughing, her face going serious. "Y-You aren't kidding?"
"No, mom, I'm not. I want you and dad to meet him and get along so bad but I know what'll happen. I love him so much, mom, but I know that you'll do nothing but criticize him and try to hurt him." Denki replied, tears starting to flow from his eyes.
   "I- Who is it Denki?"
"Mind Freak." Denki's mom's face froze in horror. "Mom?"
"Denki, you can't be serious! Do you know how many people he's killed? All the crimes he's commited and everything he's done? He probably wants to kill you or hurt you!" Denki's mom yelled.
"He would never do that, mom! You don't know him like I do, he's so gentle and caring. He's so good to me. I feel more loved by him than anybody else in the whole world. He makes me so happy."
"How would you know that? Give me one good reason he wouldn't hurt you?"
"Because I'm pregnant with his child!" Denki yelled, instantly covering his mouth once he realized what he said.
"So much for that." I quietly whispered.
"You're what? Denki, tell me you're joking."
"I-I'm not." Denki said, his voice shaking.
"Denki, no- You can't be pregnant. You're only 17, there's no way you can have a child. Especially not with someone like him." Denki's mom spat.
"Who are you to decide that, mom? I know that we're young but I love him so much and I want to have this baby with him." Denki responded while placing a hand over his abdomen, "I already love our child, I love the idea of being a dad. I'm ready for this and I want to go through with this, regardless of what you have to say or think."
   "Denki-"
"I really don't want to hear it, mom. I've been terrified of talking to you about this because I knew how you'd react. I want to have your support through this, but if I don't that's fine. I have plenty of others to back me up." Denki said, giving me a soft smile.
Denki's mom sat in silence, I'm assuming to take in what Denki has said. When she spoke she gave him a serious look, "Bring him with you on Sunday, I don't want to talk about this over the phone or until I meet him." Denki's mom said before hanging up the phone.
"That could've went worse, right?" Denki asked, leaning into my chest.
I threw an arm around him and pulled him close, "I think it was ok, we'll know on Sunday how it really went, right?"
   "Yeah, I guess we will."
               -----------------------------------------
When Sunday finally came around Denki's nerves were through the roof. The whole time I was getting ready Denki was pacing in the middle of my room muttering to himself. When I finished getting dressed I walked over to him and placed both hands on his shoulders to stop him, "Denks, calm down, alright? I'll be there with you, I'm not going to let anything happen."
"But what if they try to hurt or capture you? What if this is just a trap? I can't do this alone, Toshi. I just can't!" Denki started panicing.
"Remember what Crusty said? I'm really good at getting away, I've been a villain and escaped how many situations and capture attempts? I'll be fine, Denki."
This seemed to calm Denki down, at least a little bit. "Yeah, you're right. You ready to go get this done and over with?" Denki asked, throwing a smile onto his face. I nodded, letting Denki led me out the door and to his parent's house.
When we got there Denki knocked on the door, I adjusted my hood and mask just a little bit while waiting. Not too long after Denki knocked a woman who was the spitting image of Denki came to the door, horror in her eyes when she saw me. "Y-You seriously weren't kidding."
"I wasn't, mom. I promise you he's not who everybody makes him out to be." Denki replied, moving closer to me.
His mom sighed before heading back into the hosue, "Let's go, your father's waiting in the kitchen." Denki took my hand before following his mom into the house. His grip was fairly tight and it was obvious just how nervous he was. Denki was practically clung to my side the entire walk to the kitchen. When we got there I noticed a man, who I was assuming is his dad, already sat at the table, his mom standing next to him. "Sit down, please. And you, please remove your hood and mask during this. We'd like to fully be able to see your face."
I did what Denki's mom said and removed my hood then mask, their eyes widening as my face was revealed. Though I can't be surprised, even if you see my face through a tv seeing the scar on my face is always more extreme in person. "H-How did you get that scar?" Denki's dad hesitantly asked.
"About 2 years ago some guy slashed me pretty good with a knife." I replied, not giving too much detail.
"I see." The room fell silent. Denki was still holding onto my hand, his grip still somehow tightening as his parents just looked at me. "I'm going to be honest here with you, uh-"
"You can call me Hitoshi, or Shinso. Whichever you want." I said, seeing his dad not knowing how to adress me.
"Right. Hitoshi, I don't trust you, at all. I don't like that my son has taken a liking to you for some reason and I definetly don't like that you got him pregnant. I don't know what ulterior motives you have, but I don't want you involving our son in your schemes." Denki's dad scolded.
Denki looked like he wanted to say something but didn't, so I did. "Why do I need to have ulterior motives? Is it so hard to believe that I simply love him? I didn't plan on getting him pregnant but it happened. I have every intention to stay by his side through this and raise our child together."
Denki's parents still seemed skeptical but moved past it. "We've talked about it and we are willing to give you a chance, but you only get 1 and we have conditions." Denki's mom began, "1, both of you are to visit at least twice a month. 2, we are to be there when the baby's born. And 3, no more villain activity, ever."
The final condition made me laugh, "You have to be delusional. The first 2, completely fine and fair, but there's no way I'd quit being a villain."
"We don't want our grandchild anywhere near you villains. The only way we're accepting this is if you quit." Denki's dad spat.
I laughed again, "You people really are delusional. They may be your grandchild but that's my child. Denki and I have already talked it over, the baby's going to be around me and my family regardless of what you guys say."
   "Denki-"
"He's right, mom. I want the baby growing up with his family. You guys will never understand how much they've done for me and how accepting they've been since I started dating Toshi. They're already so excited for the baby to be here, there's no way I'm not including them in my child's upbringing. You guys are also way out of line for asking Toshi to stop being a villain, you have no idea what he's been through. That's his life. He hasn't asked me to stop being a hero, nor have I asked him to stop being a villain. We respect eachother's lifestyles, all that matters to us is that we love eachother." Denki said softly, a tear running down his face.
Denki's parents looked at eachother then back at Denki and I, his dad letting out a sigh before talking. "We want to meet this family at some point. At the end of the day it is your child, but just know that we don't like this, Denki. As for you, Hitoshi, just know that if you ever go back on what you've told us we won't hesitate to turn you over to the police, got that?"
"So you'd just rip the father of my child away from me? I can't do this without him, dad. I need him!" Denki yelled, standing up.
"If he's true to what he says then that won't happen. Now then, tell us a little bit about yourself." This is essentially how the rest of the day at Denki's parents' house went. They'd ask me random things about myself, mainly about my crimes and life as a villain, then would throw threats my way every 5 minutes. It was frustrating. I was extremely relieved when it finally came time to leave.
We said goodbye to Denki's parents, who threw one final threat my way, then left so I could take Denki back to UA. The walk was silent with Denki simply clinging to my side the entire time. When we got to the UA gates he wrapped his arms around me and burried his head into my chest. "I'm sorry you had to deal with that today. How they acted was unfair to you."
"It's fine, they're just concerned about you and the baby. I kind of get it, I guess I'd do the same if I was a hero and our child came to us saying they fell in love with a villain and got them pregnant." I said while placing my hands on Denki's hips.
"Yeah, I guess I would be too. I just want our baby to have a good life." Denki added.
"Baby? What baby?" I heard somebody ask. Denki and I both looked back, finding Kirishima standing behind us.
