The builders were making a new shower building. It had been a project on the top of the Glade's mind for months. The first building only had ten showers. And when the Gladers got a new greenie every month, ten showers were not enough. The builders finally had enough equipment and were digging into the pipelines of the Glade.
Needless to say, everyone was busy. Super busy. Working with such powerful water pressure required vigilance and the builders had to work around the clock.
Y/n had a regular shift just like the rest of the Gladers and so did Gally. And while Gally did take his break to sleep, y/n had noticed that he wasn't eating.
"Gally!" y/n said.
"Hey, y/n. Wait, don't you have the night shift tonight? What're you doing?"
"I wanted to make sure I got to talk to you... I've noticed you aren't eating."
"Y/n I'm busy..."
"I know, but I brought you food."
"Y/n... "
"Two minutes! Eat a couple bites. You need energy!"
Gally sighed. He was obviously annoyed with you, but he sat down anyway. Y/n handed him the plate.
"I got Frypan to make your favorites."
"How'd you manage that?"
"I am very persuasive."
"Don't I know it," Gally grumbled, taking a few bites.
"Thank you," You said sweetly when Gally finished.
"Yeah, ok. Can I get back to work now?"
"Sure... until tonight."
"Tonight?"
"You need dinner, too!"
"Are you going to do this every meal?" Gally asked.
"Yup." Y/n smiled.
"Wonderful," Gally huffed and stormed off, leaving you to smile after him.
