It was a crisp, clear morning in the Glade, and the usual activities were in full swing. The other Gladers were busy with their tasks, but a few had gathered around to watch something unusual: you, showing off your newfound skill with a set of throwing knives. Newt had been observing from a distance, curious about the commotion.

You stood in the center of an open space, a few wooden targets set up in a line. With steady hands and a focused gaze, you lined up your shot and threw a knife with precision. It struck the center of the target with a satisfying thud. The onlookers cheered and clapped, impressed by your accuracy.

Newt made his way over, a mix of admiration and curiosity in his eyes. "Well, look at you, y/n," he called out with a grin. "Didn't know you had a talent for throwing knives."

You smiled, feeling a rush of pride. "I didn't know either until recently. Just thought it might be a useful skill, so I've been practicing."

Newt approached closer, inspecting the targets. "Useful skill, indeed. You've got quite the aim. If you keep this up, you might just become the best knife thrower in the Glade."You chuckled, a bit embarrassed by the praise. "I don't know about that. I've still got a lot to learn."

Newt's eyes sparkled with genuine interest. "Yeah? Well, you're off to a great start. Ever thought about training others? I'm sure a few of the Gladers would love to learn from you."

You looked thoughtful for a moment, considering the idea. "That might be fun. I suppose it could be helpful if we ever need to defend ourselves."

Newt nodded, clearly pleased with the suggestion. "Definitely. And it'll be good for team morale too. Nothing like a little friendly competition to keep everyone sharp."

He walked around to your side, watching as you demonstrated another impressive throw. "You've got a real knack for this, y/n. It's not just about the skill; it's about focus and determination. You've got both."

You glanced at Newt, feeling a warm sense of accomplishment. "Thanks, Newt. That means a lot coming from you."

Newt's grin widened, and he clapped you on the shoulder. "No problem. Just don't let it go to your head. We still need you to keep those knives pointed at the targets, not at us."

You laughed, nodding in agreement. "I'll do my best."

As the morning continued, Newt stayed nearby, occasionally offering tips and encouragement as you practiced. The Gladers gathered around, impressed by your skill and Newt's support. The atmosphere was filled with camaraderie and a sense of shared purpose.

By the time you finished for the day, you felt a deep sense of satisfaction. Newt gave you a final, approving nod. "You did great today, y/n. Keep practicing, and you'll be unstoppable."

You returned his smile, feeling more confident than ever. "I will. Thanks for the support, Newt."

With that, Newt patted you on the back and walked off, his approval evident in his stride. You watched him go, feeling a renewed sense of determination and belonging.
