It was a busy afternoon in the Glade, with everyone scattered around their usual spots, working on various tasks. Newt was in the midst of organizing supplies when he noticed you hanging around, casting occasional glances in his direction. You seemed restless, your usual tasks left half-done.

Newt's curiosity was piqued. He approached you, wiping his hands on a rag. "Hey, y/n, everything alright? You've been kind of... wandering today."

You shrugged, avoiding eye contact. "Yeah, just... not really in the mood for work. I guess I'm feeling a bit off."

Newt stopped in front of you, studying your expression. "You sure? You look like you're after something. Need help with anything?"

You hesitated, feeling a bit embarrassed about your feelings. "Actually, yeah. I was kind of hoping we could spend some time together. I've been feeling a bit... lonely, I guess."

Newt's eyes softened with understanding. He reached out and gently placed a hand on your shoulder. "You don't need to be shy about it. Everyone feels that way sometimes. Come on, let's take a break. We'll sit down, talk a bit, and see if we can figure out what's got you down."

You felt a wave of relief wash over you, grateful for his understanding. "Thanks, Newt. I really appreciate it."

He led you to a quieter spot near the edge of the Glade, where you both sat down on a pair of logs under the shade of a tree. Newt turned to face you, his expression warm and encouraging.

"So, what's been going on? You can talk to me," he said, his voice gentle.

You took a deep breath, gathering your thoughts. "I don't know, Newt. It's just that sometimes, I feel like I'm just a background character here. I see everyone else with their routines and their friends, and I feel like I'm not really part of it all."

Newt listened intently, nodding as you spoke. "I get it. It's easy to feel like that, especially when there's so much going on. But you're important to us, y/n. You might not always see it, but you make a difference here. Everyone's got their place, and you're no exception."

You smiled, feeling reassured by his words. "Thanks, Newt. That means a lot."

Newt leaned back, still keeping his hand on your shoulder. "You're not alone, you know. If you ever need to talk or just want some company, I'm here for you. We all need a little support sometimes."

You nodded, feeling a sense of comfort. "I'll remember that. I'm really glad you're here."

Newt grinned, giving your shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "Anytime. Now, how about we grab some food and maybe share a laugh or two? It might do you some good to relax a bit."

You agreed, feeling lighter than before. As you both headed toward the kitchen hut, Newt chatted casually, making sure to keep the conversation upbeat and engaging. You felt a renewed sense of connection and belonging, grateful for Newt's attention and support.

By the time you finished your meal, you felt more at ease. Newt had managed to lift your spirits and remind you that you were valued and cared for. As the sun began to set, you realized that sometimes, a bit of attention and understanding was all it took to make a big difference.
