It was a quiet evening in the Glade, and the usual hustle and bustle had slowed to a more serene pace. The sun had dipped below the horizon, leaving the sky painted in shades of deep purple and blue. You were restless, tossing and turning in your makeshift bed, struggling to find comfort as exhaustion took its toll.

Thomas noticed you from across the campfire, his keen eyes catching the signs of your distress. He exchanged a concerned glance with Chuck, who had been chatting animatedly with some of the other Gladers. Thomas, always one to help a friend in need, nudged Chuck and pointed in your direction.

"Hey, Chuck. Something's up with y/n. They look like they're having a hard time settling down."

Chuck frowned, immediately understanding the situation. "You're right. Let's go see if we can help."

The two of them made their way over to your side, their presence offering a comforting aura. Thomas sat down beside you, his expression softening as he took in your troubled face. Chuck, ever the optimist, settled on the other side, his usual cheerful demeanor aimed at providing reassurance.

"Hey, y/n," Thomas began gently, trying not to startle you. "We've noticed you've been having a tough time. Is there anything we can do to help?"

You sighed, rubbing your eyes. "I don't know. I just can't seem to get comfortable. It's like my mind just won't shut off."

Chuck leaned in, his tone soothing. "Sometimes, talking about it helps. Or maybe we could try something to take your mind off things. How about we just sit here with you for a bit?"

You nodded, appreciating their offer. "Yeah, that sounds good. Thanks, guys."

Thomas placed a reassuring hand on your shoulder. "Why don't we try to help you relax a bit? Maybe we can chat or do something calming. What usually helps you unwind?"

Chuck thought for a moment before suggesting, "How about a story? I can tell you about one of our adventures or something funny that happened in the Glade."

Thomas agreed, his eyes lighting up with the idea. "Or we could just talk about something you enjoy. Anything that might distract you and make you feel more at ease."

As Thomas and Chuck began sharing stories, their voices blended into a comforting hum.

Chuck recounted a particularly amusing incident involving a misadventure with some of the other Gladers, his animated gestures and lighthearted tone bringing a smile to your face. Thomas chimed in with his own tales, balancing the humor with more soothing anecdotes that calmed your racing thoughts.

Gradually, the combination of their presence and engaging conversation began to work its magic. You felt your muscles slowly relaxing, the tension easing from your body as you listened to their voices. Thomas noticed the gradual shift in your demeanor and kept his tone gentle, making sure not to push too hard.

"Just let us know if you need anything, okay? We're here for you," Thomas said softly.

Chuck gave you an encouraging smile. "And if you need us to keep talking, we can do that too. We're not going anywhere."

Their words, combined with the warmth of their company, helped create a cocoon of calm around you. The comfort of knowing that Thomas and Chuck were there for you made a significant difference, and you found yourself sinking deeper into relaxation.

As the stories continued and the evening wore on, your eyes grew heavier. The fatigue from the day and the calming effect of their voices worked together to lull you towards sleep. Chuck noticed first, his smile widening as he saw the signs of your relaxation.

"Looks like you're starting to drift off," Chuck said quietly, glancing at Thomas.

Thomas nodded in agreement, his hand still resting on your shoulder. "Yeah. Just let yourself rest. We'll be right here."

With a final, gentle pat on your shoulder, Thomas and Chuck continued to watch over you, ensuring that you felt safe and supported as you finally succumbed to sleep. The combination of their caring presence and soothing voices had done the trick, and you drifted off peacefully, grateful for the comfort and companionship of your friends.

As you slept, Thomas and Chuck exchanged relieved smiles, knowing they had managed to help you find the rest you needed.
