Yeah, it really hurt. You'd hadn't expected it to hurt quite that much. You didn't really know what to expect. It was your first time being tortured after all.
You weren't sure what WCKD wanted to know. Where your friends were, probably. You sure weren't going to tell them. You wouldn't tell them anything.
But it hurt.
You tried not to let them know it hurt, at first. You tried to hold it in and not make a sound. But sometimes it got too much. It felt better to let it out.
You tried to think of something else. Someone else. Gally. If he was here, he would rip through those restraints in a second. He would kill everyone who had ever touched you. He would break you out and take you somewhere safe. If he was here, he would bandage every wound and hold you. You'd be safe to cry with him. You'd be safe with him. If he was there...
You drifted in and out of consciousness, wishing that Gally was there.
What you didn't know was that Gally was there. He was watching, tied to a chair, in the next room. He heard your screams. He strained against the ropes, dying inside as he watched you. Tears were rolling down his face, he knew it. He didn't care.
It was killing him. Your beautiful voice was tense with pain. Your stunning eyes rolled back inside your head.
"Anything, I'll tell you anything!" He kept screaming, but no one was there to hear him. WCKD didn't need anything from him. Not yet anyway.
But when they did need something, they would need Gally broken.
And he was broken.
