It was well past midnight in the Glade, and the usual hum of the night was quiet. Most of the Gladers were asleep, nestled in their beds, but you found yourself lying awake, tossing and turning in your makeshift bed. The shadows on the walls and the soft rustling of the night were anything but soothing. Your mind raced with worries and thoughts, preventing you from finding any rest.

Newt, who had been on patrol, noticed that you hadn't settled down for the night. He'd seen you restless earlier, but he hadn't thought much of it until he saw you still awake when he made his rounds.

He approached your bed quietly, his concern evident in his tired eyes. "Y/n? What are you still doing up? It's late. You should be asleep."

You sighed deeply, not even bothering to hide your frustration. "I can't sleep, Newt. I've tried everything, but my mind just won't shut off."

Newt sat down on the edge of your bed, his gaze softening with empathy. "You've been having trouble sleeping for a while now, haven't you?"You nodded, turning to face him. "Yeah, it's been like this for days. I don't know why. I'm just so restless."

Newt reached out, brushing a strand of hair from your face. "I'm sorry you're going through this. It's not easy, especially with everything going on in the Maze."

He thought for a moment, then continued, "Sometimes, it helps to talk things through. If there's something on your mind, or if you just need to distract yourself for a while, I'm here for you."You hesitated, feeling a bit vulnerable. "I don't want to be a burden, Newt. It's just... hard to calm down."

"Hey," Newt said gently, taking your hand in his. "You're never a burden. We're in this together, remember? If talking helps, or if you need to just sit quietly for a bit, I'm right here."

He shifted closer, his presence warm and comforting. "How about we try something different? We could sit by the fire for a while, or take a walk around the Glade. Sometimes a change of scenery can help clear your mind."

You considered his suggestion and nodded slowly. "Alright, a walk sounds nice."

Newt helped you up and guided you outside. The cool night air was refreshing, and the peaceful glow of the moonlight offered a calming effect. He walked beside you, his silence a reassuring presence as you both took a leisurely stroll around the Glade.

"Y/n," Newt said after a while, his voice gentle, "if you ever need to talk or if you need more nights like this, just let me know. We'll find a way to help you get some rest."

You looked up at him, feeling grateful for his support. "Thanks, Newt. I appreciate you being here."

He smiled warmly, squeezing your hand gently. "Anytime, love. We'll get through this together. And remember, you're never alone in this. I'm here for you."

As you walked together under the starlit sky, the tension in your shoulders eased slightly. Newt's presence was a source of comfort, reminding you that even in your restless moments, there was someone who cared deeply and was willing to help you find peace.
