Frypan was used to the occasional spat between the Gladers; life in the Maze was stressful, and tempers often flared. But today was different. The argument had escalated into a full-blown shouting match, and Frypan was right in the middle of it, trying to mediate and keep things from spiraling further out of control.

He'd been busy preparing dinner when the commotion started. The noise reached him even over the clattering pots and pans, and he frowned as he heard raised voices from the common area. Frypan put down the spoon he'd been stirring and hurried out of the kitchen hut, his concern growing with each step.

As he approached the scene, he saw you in the thick of it, your face flushed with anger, your words sharp and unyielding. A few of the other Gladers were shouting back, their faces equally red, their gestures animated. Frypan recognized the signs of a heated argument—there was pushing, shoving, and accusations being thrown around.

"Hey! What's going on here?" Frypan's voice cut through the noise, loud and authoritative. The Gladers paused, turning to look at him.

The argument started to die down a bit as Frypan approached, but there was still a tense atmosphere hanging in the air. Frypan could see that you were visibly upset, your anger still simmering. He made his way over to you, trying to keep his expression calm and reassuring.

"Y/n, what's this all about?" Frypan asked gently, placing a hand on your shoulder. "You're clearly upset. Can you tell me what happened?"

You took a deep breath, trying to calm yourself as you turned to face Frypan. "It's just...things have been building up, and I lost my temper. I'm sorry. I didn't mean for it to get this out of hand."

Frypan nodded, his eyes full of concern. "I get it. We all have days where things just seem too much. But fighting like this isn't going to solve anything. It just makes things worse."

He glanced at the other Gladers who were still standing around, their faces showing varying degrees of guilt and frustration. "Alright, everyone, let's take a step back. Y/n, why don't you sit down for a minute? I'll handle things here."

He gently guided you to a nearby log, encouraging you to sit while he took a few moments to address the others. "Listen up, everyone. We've all got a lot on our plates, and I know it's easy to let things get out of hand. But we need to handle our disagreements better than this. Let's talk things through calmly and work together, not against each other."

The other Gladers mumbled agreements, and the tension began to ease as they started to disperse, moving away to cool off and reflect on what had just happened.

Frypan returned his attention to you, giving you a sympathetic smile. "You alright? I know things got pretty heated."

You nodded, though you could still feel the remnants of anger bubbling beneath the surface.

"Yeah, I'm okay. Thanks for stepping in."

Frypan sat down beside you, his expression softening. "No problem. Just remember, we're all in this together. It's okay to get upset and let it out sometimes, but we have to be careful not to let it tear us apart. We need to support each other, especially when things get tough."

He gave you a reassuring pat on the back, his presence offering a comforting reminder that even in the chaos of the Glade, there were people who cared and were willing to help.

"Why don't you take a few moments to cool down? I'll get you some water and a bite to eat. Maybe a little food and some time to relax will help."

As Frypan stood up to fetch something for you, you felt a sense of relief. His calm demeanor and genuine concern were exactly what you needed to start letting go of the frustration you'd been holding onto.
