(Author's note, I'm not a therian but I tried my best to be respectful, please let me know in the comments if this needs to be edited!)
The sun was setting over the Glade, casting long shadows across the maze's walls. The evening was calm, with most of the Gladers settling into their evening routines. You had been feeling anxious all day, knowing that tonight was the night you'd finally share something deeply personal with Minho.
Minho was sitting by the fire, relaxing after a day of running. You took a deep breath and approached him, trying to steady your nerves. He looked up as you sat down beside him, sensing the seriousness in your demeanor.
"Hey, y/n," Minho greeted with a casual smile. "What's up?"
You hesitated, choosing your words carefully. "Minho, there's something I need to tell you. It's important."
Minho's smile faded, and his expression turned to one of curiosity. "Alright. What's going on?"
You took a deep breath, feeling the weight of your words. "Minho, I'm a therian."Minho raised an eyebrow, his curiosity piqued. "A therian? What's that mean?"
You fidgeted with your hands, struggling to explain. "It means that I identify as an animal, in a way. It's like feeling a deep connection with a certain animal, almost like it's a part of who you are. For me, it's... it's a horse."
Minho's eyes widened slightly as he processed what you were saying. "So, you're saying you feel like a horse inside?"
"Yeah," you said, nodding. "It's not just about the physical traits. It's a way I understand myself, how I relate to the world."
Minho was silent for a moment, his mind clearly working through the information. Finally, he spoke, his voice calm and thoughtful. "That's... a lot to take in. But, honestly, it's pretty cool."
You blinked, surprised by his reaction. "Really? You're not weirded out?"
"No," Minho said with a reassuring smile. "I mean, it's different, but it makes sense. You've always had this... strong, grounded presence about you. I can see how being connected to something like that would be important."
You felt a wave of relief wash over you. "I was worried you might think I was strange or something."
Minho shook his head. "Nah, not at all. Everyone's got their own quirks and things that make them who they are. It's what makes us all unique."
You smiled, feeling the tension ease in your shoulders. "Thanks, Minho. I was really nervous about telling you. It means a lot to me that you're understanding."
Minho reached over and gave your shoulder a reassuring squeeze. "Of course. We're in this together, right? If this is part of who you are, then it's part of who I want to understand and support."
You nodded, feeling a deep sense of gratitude. "Yeah, exactly. It's important to me that you know this part of me."
"I'm glad you told me," Minho said, his voice warm. "It just makes me appreciate you even more. And if there's ever anything you need or want to talk about regarding this, I'm here for you."
You beamed at him, feeling a deep sense of connection. "Thank you, Minho. That means a lot."
Minho grinned back at you. "Anytime. Now, how about we get some dinner? I'm starving after all this heavy talk."
You laughed, feeling lighter than you had all day. "Sounds good to me."
As you both stood up and walked towards the dining area, you felt a renewed sense of comfort and acceptance. Minho's reaction had been more than you could have hoped for, and you were grateful for his support and understanding. It was a reminder that in the Glade, amidst all the chaos and challenges, there were people who truly cared and accepted you for who you were.
