TRIGGER WARNING for suicide

Newt was known for his calm demeanor and compassionate nature. When he saw you at the edge of the cliffs, visibly distressed and on the brink of making a devastating decision, his heart sank. The sight of you standing there, teetering on the edge, was enough to send a shiver down his spine.

He had been busy with his duties when he heard a commotion and noticed the anxious expressions of the other Gladers. It wasn't long before someone mentioned your name and pointed in the direction of the cliffs. Newt's face went pale as he realized what was happening.

Without wasting a moment, he sprinted towards the cliffs. The sound of his heavy boots pounding against the ground was deafening in the otherwise tense silence. As he approached, he saw you standing precariously close to the edge, your body trembling and tears streaming down your face.

"Y/N, no! Don't!" Newt's voice rang out, full of panic and concern as he reached the edge. He was breathless, but his focus was entirely on you. The sight of you in such distress was nearly too much for him to bear.

You turned, your eyes red and filled with pain. "I can't do this anymore, Newt. I just can't," you choked out, your voice breaking.

Newt's heart ached as he saw the raw emotion in your eyes. He took a tentative step closer, his hands outstretched, trying to bridge the gap between you and the abyss.

"Please, y/n, just listen to me. You don't have to do this. We can get through whatever it is that's hurting you."

You shook your head, tears falling freely now. "You don't understand. It's too much."

Newt took another step closer, his voice trembling but steady. "I might not understand everything you're going through, but I do know that you're important to us. You're important to me. We all care about you more than you realize."

As Newt spoke, his hands were reaching out to you, trying to pull you away from the edge. His expression was a mixture of determination and desperation. "Just take my hand, alright? I'm here for you. You're not alone in this. I'll do whatever it takes to help you get through it."

You hesitated for a moment, looking at his outstretched hand. There was something in his voice, a sincerity that cut through the fog of your despair. Slowly, you reached out, and Newt's hand enveloped yours with a reassuring grip. He gently pulled you away from the edge, holding you tightly as you crumpled into his arms, sobbing uncontrollably.

Newt held you close, his heart breaking for you as he stroked your hair soothingly. "It's going to be alright, y/n. We'll get you the help you need. You don't have to face this alone. We're all here for you, and I'm not going anywhere."

As you clung to him, your sobs gradually began to subside. Newt's presence was a comforting anchor, his steadfast support a lifeline in your moment of despair. He helped you back from the edge, guiding you away from the cliffs with a gentle but firm hand.

Once you were safely away, Newt took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. He could see the concerned faces of the other Gladers who had gathered, their worry evident. "Alright, let's get you back to the homestead. We'll talk, and we'll get you the help you need. I promise you, we're going to get through this."

As you made your way back, Newt stayed close by, offering words of comfort and assurance. His presence was a constant reminder that you were not alone and that there was hope, even in the darkest of times.
