Minho was busy going through maps in the Map Room when you walked in, your face set with determination. The room was filled with the usual hum of activity as runners and map-makers discussed their latest findings. You took a deep breath, gathering your courage, before approaching Minho.

"Minho, can I talk to you for a minute?" you asked, trying to keep your voice steady.

He looked up from the maps, his brow furrowing slightly. "Sure, what's up?"

You shifted nervously. "I want to become a runner."

Minho blinked in surprise, setting down his pen. "You want to be a runner? Are you serious?"

"Yeah, I am," you said firmly, meeting his gaze. "I've been thinking about it for a while. I want to help more, to contribute to getting us out of here. I know it's dangerous, but I'm ready."

Minho's eyes softened as he studied you. He knew how tough it was to be a runner, how exhausting and dangerous it could be. He could see the determination in your eyes, but he also saw the underlying concern.

"Look, it's not an easy job. It's more than just running through the Maze. It's physically demanding and mentally draining. You've seen how much it takes out of us."

"I know," you said, nodding. "But I'm prepared for that. I've been training, and I think I'm ready to take the next step. I want to help make a difference."

Minho leaned back in his chair, studying you thoughtfully. "Alright, let's say I agree. What makes you think you're ready for this? What kind of training have you done?"

You took a deep breath, summoning your confidence. "I've been running on my own, practicing my endurance and speed. I've been helping with the map-making, learning the Maze's patterns. I've been pushing myself to be faster and stronger."

Minho's expression was a mix of pride and concern. "It sounds like you've been putting in the effort. But it's not just about physical readiness. It's about mental toughness, too. The Maze can mess with your head, and being a runner means facing that every day."

"I understand that," you said earnestly. "I'm ready to face the mental challenges as well. I want to be part of the team that figures this out. I believe I can do it."

Minho took a moment to consider your words. He knew you were determined, but he also knew how harsh the Maze could be. Finally, he sighed and nodded.

"Alright, if you're really sure about this, I'll put in a word with Alby. But you need to be prepared for the realities of being a runner. It's tough, and it's dangerous. You've got to be ready for anything."

"Thank you, Minho," you said, relief and excitement washing over you. "I won't let you down."

He gave you a small, reassuring smile. "I know you won't. Just remember, being a runner means you're part of a team. We look out for each other out there. If you ever need help, don't hesitate to ask."

"I will," you promised. "I'll do my best to earn my place among the runners."

Minho nodded and stood up, clapping you on the shoulder. "Good. Let's get to work then. I'll talk to Alby, and we'll see about getting you into the training rotation."

As you walked out of the Map Room, a mix of excitement and nervousness bubbled inside you. You were ready to face the challenges ahead, knowing you had Minho's support and the chance to prove yourself as a runner.
