Laying in the crypt I was filled to the brim with bliss, laying on top of an oriental rug with another draped over my body, Spike laid beside me breathing heavy.

The room was a complete mess, pieces of the furniture were broken and scattered every direction and torn cloth.

"We uh... missed the bed again." I muttered running my tongue over my smooth fangs, eyeing the room.

"Lucky for the bed." Spike said looking towards and then around at the rest of the room, making me grin.

I glanced at the rug laying over me, laying on my back.

"Is this a new rug?"

"Mm... no." He told me smirking. "Just looks different when you're under it."

I let out a small laugh and sighed in content, I was happy.

"You know for a hole in the ground, this isn't so bad." I told him lightly. "Not a bad fix up, compared to most undergrounds I've seen, it's not as dark and decay or nasty smelling as a lot of them which is the worse smell for someone with enhanced senses" I looked over at him. "I'm surprised you have any artistic taste... is it something left over from your human life?"

"Doubt it." Spike told me calmly, shaking his head. "But I ate a decorator once, maybe something stuck."

"I've been thinking of doing something to my room."

"Yeah?" He asked moving closer.

"Yeah since I made the decision to move into the master bedroom, I've been procrastinating packing up Mama's things." I told him shrugging earning a soft look. "I planned on moving everything out so I can repaint it and stuff but it's a big transition plus I've been busy between chores for Calum, going back to school and now the nerd squad." I rolled my eyes in annoyance. "I swear there's something new every day, I can't even breath."

"Well if you want..." Spike said chuckling. "I can lend a hand." He paused looking at me in surprise, I raised an eyebrow. "Are we having a conversation?"

"It's not like we haven't done it before." I retorted.

"No but this is an actual normal one." He said staring at me. "Usually this is the part where you say something about responsibilities and run away."

"Well taking care of my mate is a kind of responsibility." I told him making him grin.

He leaned his forehead against my shoulder for a moment, nibbling at my skin then lifted his head and trailed his finger up and down my arm.

"You were amazing."

"You got the job done yourself." I muttered softly.

"I was just trying to keep up. The things you do...." He said smirking, I felt my face heat up. "The way you make it hurt in all the wrong places. Who knew Victoria Northman was such an animal."

Sighing in content for the hundredth time. Spike ducked down, sweeping his lips on mine, pulling me back into a deep kiss. Gently I reached up, cupping his face to pull him deeper in and just caressed him gingerly.

My phone buzzed drawing me away, I pulled back, sighing a little in disappointment and turned reached over grabbing my phone from beside me and checked the time.

"I have to get home." I muttered lifting up the rug and looked for my clothes.

"And she's off." Spike said sighing and laid back. "Can't you just stay a little longer?"

I ignored him searching for my black lacy underwear and pulled them on and made sure my matching bra was fully fastened and slowly searched for my jeans.
