(No one's POV).

'Dream'

Underwater. Copious amounts of bubbles rose through it, some pretty large sized.

Victoria frantically tried to get to the surface. Below her Allen the human that died grabbed her ankle pulling her down. She kicked her legs and flailed her arms, desperately trying to shake loose or sink her fangs into the hand pulling her under.

Eventually she managed to break free of his grip and swim to the surface. She broke through and took in a deep breath. There, kneeling on the dock above, she saw Faith, who reached down and shoved her back underwater.

'End of Dream'.

(Victoria's POV)

My eyes snapped open quickly from the nightmare, and took in several deep breaths trying to calm myself down. I sat up in bed and looked around my room, I sighed that's the third night this week in a month since Faith killed that man, I'll never get over seeing his face. I never thought I would say it but I'd rather go back to dreaming of Spike than this.

Mom said the same thing happened to my grandfather, he wasn't exactly the nicest person his first hundred years as a vampire, neither was my father they both did some pretty bad things. After a while all those killings came to the surface and Grandpa would get nightmares.

Even though Grandpa did bad things, Grandma never blamed him and loved him with everything she had.

Pushing my blankets back, I got up and walked out into the hall where I could hear Mom in her bedroom folding laundry and watching the news. I leaned against the doorway, listening.

'We go now live to our field reporter, who is standing by at the waterfront with this breaking news about the murder that has shocked the Mayor and residents of Sunnydale.'

I saw them pulling the man's body into a boat. Apparently Faith went back and ditched the body before my own person could fix it, we had people who took care of bodies. All she did was make it worse and dig us deeper into trouble.

'Fishermen discovered the body today, the victim of a brutal stabbing. Authorities and citizens alike were shocked when the slain man was identified as Deputy Mayor Allan Finch. Still reeling from the news, Mayor Wilkins had this to say.'

I wasn't all surprised that they found him I was more in shock that he was a public figure, I knew people at the town hall, and they never said anything was going on. The news cut to the Mayor talking at a press conference. Mom finally noticed I was standing there, she stood up bringing me into an embrace.

"Oh honey." She said leaning back, looking me in the eyes. "Still no word from Sheriff Chantry?"

I shook my head.

"This is out of their hands. " I told her she pulled back and went back to watching the TV, I moved sitting beside her.

I didn't know what else to say.

At school, I was sitting on the study table beside Buffy, Faith was sitting in a chair at the table, Giles was at the far end sitting down while we watched Wesley pace.

"I want you to look into this" Wesley told us. "Find out everything you can about the murder of the Deputy Mayor."

"But that's not really our jurisdiction is it?" I asked glancing at Buffy; her emotions were all over the place.
