I Only Have Eyes For You

Since Buffy was feeling better after being sick and all the band had a gig tonight at the Bronze so Oz, Devon and I were standing up on the stage playing.  I was singing my song 'charge' 

 Cordelia and Xander were on the dance floor dancing and Roman waited at the table with drinks for him and Willow, I swayed along with the words feeling good for the first time in along time and Buffy had just came in the door and stared down at me from the railing.

' The way you love 

Have you got a name for it 

Cause I don't understand it

The language is an annoying necessity

 And I depend on all the regular things,

Got a list tattooed on my memory 

 Of how our tryst should unfold',

I saw Willow moving around in the crowd most likely looking for Buffy, she glanced at me and I gestured upward, indicating to her that she was up on the rail.

'I'm falling from the opposite/what good is it/fight the map with no key attached.'

I looked up seeing a boy talking to Buffy and smiled feeling hopeful.

 ' My heart's enlarged and I charge/

And I rely on familiar things

The boy walked away and Buffy looked sad glancing at me for a moment then headed for the stairs Willow met her and they started talking. I looked at Oz behind me he was too wrapped up in the guitar, I smiled either way and turned back to the crowd.

In history class, I wasn't really paying attention, History was my best subject so no matter what I always get a good grade, I was sketching in my journal while still paying attention to some of what the teacher was saying. 

"Before 1935 the new deal focused on revitalizing stricken business and agricultural communities. And the new deal also tried to regulate the nations financial hierarchy to avoid another disaster like the 1929 stock market crash."

I glanced up at the board and nearly dropped my pencil, looking at Buffy she was asleep so I shook her a little.

 "Buffy"

 She woke up and looked at the board. 

 The students started laughing but Buffy and I stared at each other.

The teacher looked at the class and then back at the board. DON'T WALK AWAY FROM ME BITCH!' 

"Oh my god." He muttered grabbing an eraser and quickly wiped it away as fast as he could.

"did you see what he wrote?"
