It was around ten at night I was patrolling the town and doing a lot of thinking. I was pregnant, there was a growing being inside me. A little girl perhaps.
I always dreamed of having a daughter of my own, but I just didn't think it was going to happen to me so quickly. I wasn't ready to be a mother and....Spike? Being the father, I couldn't picture it. I'm still getting used to us living together but now there's going to be a baby between us. Victoria Northman and William the bloody are having a child.
It was mind blowing and not exactly the best timing.
My thoughts were cut off when I saw two vampires round the cemetery gate. They had a wild look in their eyes and looked relief before spotting me there.
"Just what I needed." I muttered smirking.
I headed them off and punched one in the face. He pushed me back and spun around to knock me down, but I dodged him and went back at him, and slammed my fist into his jaw.
He went down heavy; I sensed the other vamp charging at me and threw my hand out catching him around the neck and turned hissing at him.
He fought against me making it hard for me to make a clean snap when I heard the first vamp getting to his feet and turned watching him coming.
He didn't make it more than a step inside the gate and was scooped up, my head snapped up spotting him dangling in the air and Spike holding onto him standing on top of a stone pillar of the gate. The vamp struggled. I frowned seeing Spike, he just smiled down at me.
"How you doin?" Spike asked making me glare at him.
"Fine you know except for the fact I'm pregnant." I retorted earning a look.
"Here, I could take care of this guy if you want." He said ignoring what I said and gestured to the vamp he was holding.
I rolled my eyes and kicked my attacker off and sent him flying back and jumped to my feet.
"Whatever, your call." I muttered slamming my prey to the ground again.
"I mean, sure he don't like much." Spike continued shrugging.
The vamp looked at him insulted.
"Hey!"
"But I'd wager he could give you a bit'o nasty." Spike added. "I'll save you the staking. All you gotta do is-"
"I'm not telling my friends about this." I told him cutting him off and rushed the vamp I was fighting. "I don't plan on telling anyone....I'm not ready."
"And you think I am?" He asked as I slammed the vamp on the ground again, finally gaining the upper hand. "Is anyone ever ready for this kind of thing?"
"It's just.... I'm going to have a baby." I told him growling. "And it's all your fault, you and all your unwavering needs."
"Well, it's not like I climbed on top and forced you to do it." He said making me raise an eyebrow, making him stare at me. "Okay....maybe I was a little crazy with the sexy flirty-ness but it's not all my fault."
"What am I supposed to tell everyone?" I asked walking over to where he was standing and glanced up at him, crossing my arms. "This isn't the best time to be having a child, after what happened last week? Plus, Buffy and I are still dealing with Warren and his goons."
He jumped down landing on the ground in front of me. I was feeling all emotional that I couldn't keep my face blank.
"I have so many things going on, I just got used to living together, we're not even married, The bonds not complete, we still have one step left and I'm sorry but I have no intentions of marking you, not now." I said randomly to myself, turning I started walking away. "We're not ready for any of that, let alone a child."
