Buffy and I stared at the ancient weapon embedded in the rock, glancing between it and each other.

I stared at it almost like it was calling to me.

The trap door above slammed open, I could hear Caleb's footsteps coming down the stairs.

"So....you found it." He told us. "Not impressed, 'Cause the question now, is can you pry it from solid rock before I come over there and-"

I reached out and casually lifted the axe out of the stone, it popped free without effort, I glanced at Buffy, she was impressed.

I turned towards Caleb and held it up, he stopped in his tracks glancing between Buffy and I in shock, I could sense his fear it made me smirk.

"Darn." He muttered.

I quietly examined my new weapon; it was a bit heavier than my sword.

"Now before you go hurtin' yourself with that thing." Caleb said holding his hand out. "Why don't you do yourself a courtesy and hand it over now?"

"Yeah?" Buffy asked grinning. "You want it?"

I flipped the weapon in my hand ready for a fight and stepped forward causing him to step back.

"You don't even know what you got there."

"I know you're backing away." I told him sniffing the air. "I know that you're scared." I gave him a smirk showing my fangs."You leaked a little."

Buffy looked at me, before smirking.

"You think wieldin some two-sided doo-dad's gonna make a difference?"

Buffy and I shared another look.

Another me appeared next to Caleb, my eyes narrowed in hate, sensing the First's dark presence. It stared back at me hatefully, but I held my head high trying to ignore my want to snap whatever neck it's got.

"Let them go, Caleb."

Caleb hesitated not liking the idea while I was full ready for a fight.

"I said, let them go."

"If I let them go, Northman slices me open with that thing." Caleb told them.

Buffy and I watched the exchange, I could feel her disconcerted at seeing the First, she glanced at me seeing that I had no emotion on my face and turned back more confidently.

"No she doesn't, she hasn't got time." The First told him glancing at us. "They have friends and friends are in trouble...Faith go boom."

"I'm not lettin' em out of here with that thing."

"Sure, you are." The first retorted. "Then you'll come back for it later.... when they got their backs turned."

Caleb slowly stood aside, Buffy and I shared a look before I handed her the weapon and picked her up bridal style and took a running leap out of the trap door and landed in the winery above.

We shared another look as I sat her on her feet, and we headed out.

Buffy and I tracked the girls down to the sewers, my nose wrinkled at the smell, but I shook it off.

The underground chamber was in shambles, portions of the tunnel were caved in, and fire burned all over debris covered everything. There wasn't any way in but I could track them from upper ground.

I used all of my vampire strength and slammed my hand into the ground, breaking through and a big chunk of it fell down.

Buffy and I shared a look and then dropped down, I held my new bladed weapon at ready spotting three Turok Hans, they charged at me but I spun almost ballet like, the blade bit into their flesh.
